Description

Verily Health is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Clinical Informaticist/ Health Data Architect to support the integration, standardization, and management of complex data across multiple sources. The ideal candidate will have experience working with structured health data, industry standards, and data quality practices to ensure data is accurate, consistent, and usable across the organization. This role will collaborate with cross-functional teams to support analytics, operational, and research initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Architect FHIR-compliant data models, ensuring all instantiated resources align with specific implementation guides (IGs), profiles, and internal architectural standards.

  • Design and operationalize sophisticated data harmonization and enrichment strategies to unify disparate data streams from EHRs, HIEs, and claims sources.

  • Design and implement scalable data models and integration solutions that align with organizational standards and industry best practices.

  • Establish rigorous validation frameworks and automated rules to ensure the clinical accuracy, consistency, and longitudinal integrity of our data assets.

  • Develop clear and concise documentation that effectively communicates data design requirements to engineering teams and stakeholders with varying levels of technical expertise.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a technical field.

  • Minimum of 3 years experience working in clinical informatics, data integration or data architect in healthcare or life sciences industries.

  • Demonstrated proficiency in navigating the complexities of interoperability standards and frameworks (such as HL7 v2, FHIR  CDA/CCD-A, NCPDP) as well as data models (FHIR R4/R5, OMOP). 

  • Proficiency in Python and SQL.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience with dbt , Jupyter Notebooks, and 

  • Master’s degree in a technical field.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $102,000 - $154,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
