DESCRIPTION

At Thermo Fisher Scientific, you'll guide a sales team in driving customer success and business growth. As an Account Management Manager, you'll use our industry-leading scale and unparalleled commercial reach to make a significant impact across research, clinical, and commercial production markets. You'll develop and execute strategic sales plans, support teams, and build lasting relationships with key customers while contributing to our mission of enabling customers to make the world healthier, cleaner, and safer.

This position covers the Northeast region. Acceptable locations include Massachusetts or New Hampshire.

Working in a supportive environment that values performance and innovation, you'll oversee sales strategies, maintain strong customer relationships, analyze market trends, and ensure your team achieves or exceeds sales and profitability targets. You'll collaborate across functions to optimize customer solutions while fostering a culture of inclusion, continuous improvement, and exceptional service delivery.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree and 5 years of experience in sales in life sciences, laboratory products, or related industry preferred
  • Preferred Fields of Study: Life Sciences, Business, or related field
  • 2+ years of sales team management experience preferred
  • Strong commercial acumen and proven track record of achieving sales targets
  • Experience using CRM systems (especially Salesforce) and data analytics tools
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities with focus on coaching and developing teams
  • Excellent strategic planning and business analysis capabilities
  • Strong negotiation and pricing management skills
  • Effective presentation and communication abilities
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain key customer relationships
  • Proficiency in developing and executing sales strategies
  • Experience managing distributor and channel partner relationships
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time
  • Demonstrated experience implementing change and supporting continuous improvement
  • Strong project management and organizational skills
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive, collaborative work environmen

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range estimated for this position based in Massachusetts is $95,000.00–$142,475.00.

This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. We offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package that our U.S. colleagues and their families can count on, which includes:
