Job description

These will be your tasks:

Release Manager

In this role, you own the operational backbone of our portfolio across PC, console and mobile. You manage platform backends, storefront setup, release timelines, first-party communication and commercial store activations.

Storefronts are your daily priority. You keep product pages, packages, pricing, discounts, submissions, age ratings, release dates and backend settings clean, correct and on time. Basically, you are the person making sure nobody realizes five minutes before launch that a checkbox somewhere was not checked. Happens to the best of us. Ideally not to us.

What You’ll Do:

  • Storefront Operations: Manage product pages, metadata, pricing, packages, regional settings, release dates, assets and backend configurations across PC, console, mobile and third-party stores.

  • Commercial Activations: Coordinate discounts, platform sales, bundles, featuring opportunities, first-party programs and other storefront activations across the portfolio.

  • Platform Communication: Coordinate communication with platform holders, developers, porting teams, distributors and other external partners. Make sure requirements, responsibilities and deadlines are clear and nothing gets lost between inboxes, calls and threads.

  • Certification & Submissions: Coordinate submissions, certification requirements, age ratings, compliance checks and platform approval processes.

  • Release Operations & Readiness: Coordinate builds, release candidates, branches, depots, launch checklists, go-live preparation and hotfixes. Track blockers, dependencies and last-minute risks before they become launch-day surprises.

Your profile

What You’ll Bring:

  • Experience: At least two years of experience in game release management, platform operations or a related games role, with hands-on responsibility for releases or storefront operations.

  • Technical Knowledge: Strong Steamworks knowledge. Experience with console, mobile or third-party store backends is a strong plus.

  • Commercial Understanding: You understand storefront mechanics, platform events, discounting, featuring opportunities, key distribution and sales cycle planning.

  • Operational Precision: You work in a structured, reliable and precise way, especially when dealing with backend settings, checklists, deadlines and documentation.

  • Clear Communication: You can keep developers, platform partners and internal stakeholders aligned across several games, platforms and deadlines.

Bonus Points: You have helped ship a successful indie game in the past two years and can tell us what you owned, what went well and what you learned.

What you can expect from us:

  • A key role in a growing publisher where you can help shape our release processes and platform operations from the ground up.
  • Real ownership across a growing portfolio of games with short decision paths and direct access to developers and platform partners.
  • Exciting work centered on fun, stories, and entertainment.
  • A competitive salary based on your experience and seniority.
  • 30 days of paid time off (PTO) to actually switch off and recharge.
  • Legendary team events, plus access to concerts and events across the group.
  • Free keys for our games and titles from across our network.
  • A range of discounts and offers via our corporate benefits platform.
Depending on your location and regular office presence, additional benefits may include:
  • Access to our modern, dog-friendly office in Berlin-Spandau, with ergonomic workstations and a large shared team kitchen.
  • A VIP membership at the gym next door.
  • A subsidized BVG public transport ticket.
