Job description

This is a remote position.

MSUITE is looking for a BIM Automation Engineer to help us build out a new team and kick off a new product line. In this role the successful candidate will work with a team of developers to build a Revit Add-In to automate BIM and engineering tasks using Revit’s API. This position will report directly to the Director of Engineering at MSUITE, a manufacturing/construction tracking software company in Cedar Rapids, IA. The ideal candidate has a strong work ethic, excellent software architecture skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as team lead for a small dev team
  • Write maintainable and testable C# code, following SOLID principles and MSUITE’s best practices
  • Design and implement new object-oriented class structures using Gang of Four Design Patterns (or similar) to solve complex BIM workflow automation problems
  • Review and test pull requests
  • Write easy to understand user and internal documentation
  • Provide tier 3 support

Requirements

TECHNICAL SKILLS:
  • Advanced understanding of Object Oriented Software Design and Architecture
  • Excellent knowledge of 3D vector mathematics and manipulation
  • Working knowledge with Revit API
  • Familiarity of BIM and 3D modeling design and/or detailing workflows
  • Understanding of agile workflows
  • C# development experience
  • Bachelors in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent
ADDITIONAL SKILLS:
  • Self-motivated/self-starter
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Desire for creativity and ownership
