Job description

This is a remote position.

We are seeking a skilled and detail-focused Remote Typist Data Entry Specialist to support our administrative and operational workflows by converting handwritten, verbal, or scanned documentation into clear, organized digital records. This remote role is critical in maintaining data integrity across our teams, providing accurate, timely transcripts that keep our projects and claims processing on track—no matter where our staff are located.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately transcribe handwritten notes, field reports, meeting minutes, or dictated content into digital format using your remote workstation.

  • Input critical claim, policy, or risk data into internal systems with keen attention to formatting, spelling, and accuracy.

  • Proofread and verify all entries to maintain high standards of quality and reliability.

  • Organize and structure files, logs, and documentation to facilitate efficient retrieval for both on-site and remote team members.

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders—claims adjusters, investigators, project managers—to clarify content and resolve discrepancies across multi-channel workflows, including remote exchanges.

  • Identify and suggest process improvements to enhance transcription workflow, turnaround time, or data readability—especially in remote contexts.

  • Maintain strict confidentiality and data security standards, particularly when handling sensitive information in a remote setting.

Requirements

  • Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent required; additional training or coursework in administrative support, document transcription, or risk services is a plus.

  • Exceptional typing speed and accuracy; prior experience in transcription or data entry preferred.

  • Strong attention to detail and precision in formatting and data quality.

  • Competency with word processing and spreadsheet tools; ability to learn proprietary data systems quickly.

  • Clear written and verbal communication, including the ability to collaborate effectively in a remote environment.

  • Self-motivated, highly reliable, and able to manage workload independently while working remote.

Benefits

  • Competitive hourly salary, reflective of skill level and contribution.

  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance coverage.

  • Retirement savings plan with employer matching incentives.

  • Generous paid time off—including vacation, personal, and holiday days.

  • Flexible scheduling to support a productive remote work–life balance.

  • Professional development opportunities: training, certifications, and mentorship—even when working remote.

  • Inclusive and collaborative organizational culture that values remote team members as essential contributors.
