Freelance Data Entry Clerk

This is a remote position.

Millennial Assistants is looking to expand our network of freelance data entry clerks!

We work with data entry clerks of various levels of experience. As a data entry clerk with Millennial Assistants, you'll be responsible for manually inputting or migrating data from one place to another.

• You have an understanding of how being an independent contractor works - you are your own business 
  
• You're a self-starter who frequently says, "I don't know how to do that, but I'll figure it out!"  
  
• You're tech savvy and require minimal oversight 
  
• You take pride in your ability to create your own systems and processes to increase efficiency and accuracy
  
• You probably know more keyboard shortcuts and hotkeys than most of your peers 
  
• You double-, triple-, quadruple-check your work because you know that the slightest error can mean huge issues and revenue losses for your client
  

Responsibilities may include: 

• Accurately and efficiently entering data into various database systems, including CRMs or spreadsheets 
  
• Typing/recreating data provided directly from customers
  
• Verifying data by comparing it to source documents
  
• Retrieving data from databases or electronic files
  
• Sorting and organizing paperwork after entering data to ensure it is not lost
  
• Maintaining filing systems
  
• Communicating and collaborating with management and other teams 
  
• Taking direction and feedback from managers when given 
  

Each data entry project with Millennial Assistants is typically paid a set fee that's communicated upfront before you accept the project. The opportunity for hourly work is available occasionally.  

Contractors with Millennial Assistants are their own boss and business - they set their own hours, accept or decline projects, and can work with their own clients outside of Millennial Assistants. Millennial Assistants makes no guarantee on volume of project availability or amount of money that can be made with us. We are an agency that partners with contractors/freelancers who are notified when work is available. 

Requirements

• Must be 18 years or older
  
• Reliable internet connection
  
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  
• Must be able to accurately type at least 60WPM
  
• Extreme attention to detail
  
• Knowledge of word processing tools and spreadsheets including Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace
  
• Basic understanding of databases
  
• Strong organizational and time management skills, works efficiently
  
• High commitment to maintaining confidentiality 
  
• Ability to pass Millennial Assistants skills assessments and tests
