Job description

This is a remote position.

Configuration Specialist

 

We are looking for a detail-oriented and technically skilled Configuration Specialist to join our Technology team. In this role, you will ensure our software systems are correctly configured, maintained, and deployed to support both customer needs and business operations.

You’ll collaborate closely with Engineering, QA, DevOps, Product, and Customer Support teams, playing a critical role in enabling high-quality software releases across both SaaS and embedded environments.

What You'll Do

Configuration & System Management

  • Configure and maintain software applications and system settings
  • Manage configuration baselines across development, testing, and production environments
  • Ensure all changes are accurate, documented, and approved

Release & Version Control

  • Support software releases and deployment activities
  • Maintain configuration records, versioning, and release documentation
  • Partner with Engineering and QA to ensure consistency across builds

Documentation & Standards

  • Develop and maintain configuration documentation, SOPs, and runbooks
  • Ensure alignment with internal standards, security requirements, and best practices

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work with Software Engineering, QA, DevOps, Product, and Customer Support teams
  • Support implementation teams with configuration troubleshooting

Troubleshooting & Support

  • Diagnose and resolve configuration-related issues across environments
  • Participate in root cause analysis and corrective actions

Continuous Improvement

  • Identify opportunities to improve tools, processes, and automation
  • Contribute to enhancements in release and configuration management

SaaS & Embedded Environment Support

  • Configure multi-tenant SaaS environments and manage feature flags/settings
  • Support CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments
  • Maintain configuration matrices and traceability across embedded systems

 

 

What You Bring

Required Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in configuration, systems, or software support
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field or equivalent experience
  • Experience in a software development or SaaS environment
  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and structured release processes
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple configurations
  • Experience with embedded or real-time systems and environment management
  • Understanding of change control and deployment processes
  • Experience supporting enterprise, on-prem, or hybrid systems
  • Ability to collaborate with technical and customer-facing teams

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines or configuration management tools
  • Familiarity with Agile or Scrum methodologies
  • Basic scripting skills (PowerShell, Python, or similar)
  • Experience with Kubernetes, cloud platforms (AWS/Azure), or MongoDB
  • Knowledge of ITIL or formal change management practices
  • Experience with Linux-based embedded systems or large-scale enterprise platforms



Salary: 115000
