We currently have an opportunity for a Regional Sales Manager, Fresh-Lock® Zippers & Sliders across the Midwest and Southwest (primarily Texas) regions.  

Responsibilities:

The Regional Sales Manager, Fresh-Lock® Zippers & Sliders is responsible for driving profitable growth and strengthening customer relationships for the Fresh-Lock® Zippers & Sliders business across the greater Texas region and key adjacent markets. This role develops and executes regional sales strategies, manages strategic customer accounts, identifies new business opportunities, and partners with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative flexible packaging solutions. The Regional Sales Manager serves as a trusted advisor to customers while balancing commercial objectives, operational capabilities, and long-term business growth.

  • Develop and execute regional sales strategies that drive revenue growth, profitability, and market share.
  • Manage strategic customer relationships across converters, consumer packaged goods (CPG) companies, OEMs, distributors, and international partners.
  • Identify new business opportunities and develop a robust commercial pipeline.
  • Partner with Product Management, Marketing, Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, and Customer Service to deliver customer solutions.
  • Lead customer negotiations involving pricing, contracts, product launches, and long-term commercial agreements.
  • Utilize customer insights, market intelligence, and competitive analysis to develop growth strategies.
  • Support product commercialization and innovation by communicating customer needs and market trends.
  • Represent Fresh-Lock® at customer meetings, industry events, and trade shows.
  • Develop and execute annual territory and account plans that support revenue, profitability, and strategic growth objectives.
  • Grow existing customer relationships while identifying and converting new business opportunities.
  • Lead customer negotiations involving pricing, contracts, quotations, and commercial agreements.
  • Partner with Product Management and Finance to develop pricing strategies, margin improvement initiatives, and cost-to-serve analyses.
  • Collaborate with R&D, Engineering, Operations, Quality, and Supply Planning to support customer programs, product trials, and commercial launches.
  • Maintain accurate sales forecasts, CRM records, pipeline reports, and opportunity tracking.
  • Resolve customer concerns related to quality, service, supply, pricing, and technical support.
  • Monitor competitive activity, industry trends, sustainability initiatives, and emerging packaging technologies.
  • Develop executive-level customer presentations, business reviews, and growth strategies.
  • Support trade shows, customer visits, and business development activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Education

Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field; or a combination of education, training, and relevant experience that demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to successfully perform the essential functions of the position.

 

Experience

  • 5 years’ flexible packaging industry experience with a converter, packaging OEM, CPG, packaging supplier, or related B2B specialty materials business including 5+ years direct customer-facing experience
  • 3+ years’ experience with re-closable flexible packaging, including zippers, sliders, closure systems, pouching applications, or related packaging technologies, highly preferred.
  • Experience in business-to-business (B2B) sales within the flexible packaging, specialty materials, manufacturing, or related industry.
  • Experience managing strategic customer relationships and developing new business opportunities.
  • Experience negotiating commercial agreements and managing customer portfolios.
  • Experience collaborating across Sales, Product Management, Operations, Engineering, and Finance.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Strong business and financial acumen with the ability to evaluate pricing, profitability, and market opportunities.
  • Excellent consultative selling, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
  • Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems, Microsoft Office, and business reporting tools.
  • Ability to influence internal and external stakeholders without direct authority.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced business environment.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel approximately 30% overnight.

Bonus

  • Experience in flexible packaging, packaging materials, polymers, closure systems, or related packaging technologies.
  • Experience working with converters, OEMs, CPG manufacturers, or packaging suppliers.
  • Experience with Power BI or business intelligence reporting tools.
  • Spanish language proficiency.
  • Experience supporting international customer accounts.

Posted Salary Range: USD $98,400.00 - USD $139,000.00 /A Bonus Eligibility: Role is eligible for 20% annual incentive provided the business meets financial goals and the individual meets their performance goals, subject to plan administration guidelines.
