Labcorp Financial Assistance team has an exciting career opportunity for a Customer Service Support Representative.

Monday - Friday 10:00am - 6:30pm EST

Responsibilities

  • Respond to patient and provider inquiries regarding financial assistance programs. 

  • Assist patients with financial assistance applications and required documentation.  

  • Explain program eligibility, insurance coverage, and payment options.  

  • Review patient information and supporting documents to determine eligibility. 

  • Maintain performance goals

  • Ability to become proficient with processes after completing a structured training program.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent  

  • 5 years or more healthcare customer service experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associates degree

  • 5 years or more healthcare customer service, patient financial services, financial counseling, or medical billing.  

  • 5 years or more medical billing, insurance claims, and explanation of benefits (EOB). 

  • 5 years or more experience assisting patients with financial assistance, charity care, Medicaid, or other healthcare assistance programs. 

  • 3 months or more with Xifin billing systems.  

  • 3 months or more with Salesforce CRM. 

  • 5 years or more in genetics, women’s health, and oncology specialty testing billing, including supporting patients through clinically complex and financially sensitive testing processes. 

  • Bilingual English/Spanish capability. 

Additional Job Standards

    • Strong verbal and written communication skill

    • Support payer and laboratory billing processes for genetic and molecular testing reimbursement, including Medicare and Medicaid payers. 

    • Explain complex women’s health, genetics and oncology testing coverage, costs, and financial responsibility to patients, providers, and payers

    • Establish protocols and procedures; cross-functional collaboration. 

    • Ability to work and learn in a fast-paced environment

    • Attention to detail and focused

    • Team-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently

    • Excellent organizational skills

    • Proficiency navigating multiple computer screens and applications

    • Alpha-Numeric data entry proficiency

    Labcorp Financial Assistance team has an exciting career opportunity for a Customer Service Support Representative. Serving as a frontline contact for patients and providers by handling inbound and outbound communications related to Labcorp’s Financial Assistance Program. This role is responsible for providing compassionate support to patients by assisting with financial assistance applications, reviewing eligibility requirements, and gathering required documentation. Educate patients on program qualifications, insurance coverage, financial responsibility, and available payment options while advocating for access to affordable healthcare services. Review insurance and financial information to identify appropriate assistance, maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive patient information and ensure compliance with HIPAA and company policies. Demonstrate strong attention to detail when evaluating patient records, supporting documentation, and program eligibility criteria.
