Job description

Company summary

Tearsheet is one of the most influential media brands in financial technology. We’re a modern media firm, combining daily reporting on the financial services industry with events, award programs, and a content studio for our partners. Our articles, podcasts, and newsletters are read widely by decision makers and digital leaders in top US financial services companies and fintech firms.

Role objective

If you’re gifted with the ability to create and write and are interested in joining a firm on the frontlines of technology’s impact on the financial services industry, we’re looking for you to join our team of journalists, editors, and content marketers.

Tearsheet is looking for someone who lives and breathes content. You’ll be tasked with various aspects of content creation, including: articles, whitepapers, podcasts, marketing materials, editing our editorial and sponsored content, ideation for clients of our content studio, and all-around contribution to the evolution of our company’s voice.

This is a full time position.

Location

Anywhere. We’re a digital company with employees around the world, all working from home.

Who we’re looking for

Not everyone can be a content ninja. To be seriously considered for the role, please have the following in regards to:

You’re a creator: More than comfortable with the written word, you’re fluent in describing and explaining things using the English language, and you’ve created content at a high level in previous roles.

Cross platform experience: You’ll be tasked in helping create articles, reports, podcasts, case studies, emails, newsletters, and more. Even if you don’t have experience doing something specific, you’re flexible enough to take to a new format like a duck to water.

Utility player: You may not yet be a fintech guru but you’re quick and willing to learn a new subject. You’re able to move between writing, editing, and strategizing.

Alone and together: There is a lot of autonomy to this role, so you should be self-motivated and self-sufficient. There’s also a fair amount of creativity in the role, so you must be able to gracefully receive criticism and feedback about your work.

    Requirements

Fintech experience is not required but you have an interest and curiosity in learning about this exciting field. A demonstrable, proven ability to create compelling content is required. We have deadlines, so you should be comfortable planning and delivering content within a schedule.
