JOB DESCRIPTION:

Are you detail-oriented, organized, and passionate about helping clients access the care they need? Join our team as an Insurance Verification Specialist, where you'll play a vital role in supporting our clients and clinical staff by ensuring insurance information is accurate and benefits are verified before services are provided.

In this role, you will verify eligibility and benefits for a variety of insurance plans, including commercial insurance, Medicare, and Medicaid, prior to client appointments. You'll also obtain prior authorizations when required and serve as a key point of contact for insurance carriers, clients, clinic staff, and accounting teams to resolve coverage questions and billing inquiries.

What You'll Do

  • Verify insurance eligibility and benefits for commercial, Medicare, and Medicaid plans.
  • Obtain prior authorizations and referrals as required by insurance carriers.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date insurance information within the electronic health record (EHR).
  • Respond to inquiries from insurance companies, clients, clinic staff, and accounting personnel regarding coverage, eligibility, and authorizations.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to help ensure timely and accurate billing and reimbursement.
  • Identify and resolve insurance-related issues before client appointments to support a positive client experience.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Preferred experience working with medical insurance verification, eligibility, and authorization processes.
  • Experience verifying mental health or behavioral health insurance benefits is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
  • Proficiency with computer systems and the ability to learn new software applications.

Pay Range:

$14.25--$20.00
