Job Description

Opportunity at a Glance
The primary purpose of this position is supporting nursing students through the RN licensure and credentialing process. The Coordinator provides step‑by‑step guidance using established, state‑specific workflows to ensure timely completion of Board of Nursing (BON) applications, background checks, fingerprinting, transcript submission, and NCLEX registration. The role requires monitoring student progress, maintaining accurate documentation, and escalating exceptions to program leadership. This position supports thousands of students across multiple states and requires strong attention to detail, process adherence, and high‑volume student communication.

Responsibilities

  • Provide individualized 1:1 support to students completing RN licensure and credentialing requirements.
  • Guide students through state‑specific BON processes using established workflows, checklists, and internal resources.
  • Monitor and track student progress to ensure completion of all requirements by program deadlines.
  • Assist students with: Board of Nursing licensure applications, Background checks and fingerprinting, Pearson VUE NCLEX registration, Transcript request and submission
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all credentialing activities in institutional systems.
  • Conduct regular follow‑up and outreach to support student completion and adherence to timelines.
  • Escalate non‑standard issues, exceptions, or regulatory questions to the manager.
  • Maintain knowledge of assigned state processes as outlined in internal guidance materials.
  • Participate in meetings with program leadership as needed to review progress, exceptions, and state updates.
  • Support onboarding of new processes or state requirements by updating job aids, workflows, and training materials.
  • Provide coverage for team members when out of office and collaborate to ensure continuity of student support.
  • Participate in team building and career development activities.
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Complies with all policies and standards

Qualifications

  • Associate's Degree Required
  • Bachelor's Degree Preferred
  • 2+ years Previous office experience (preferably in an academic, healthcare, or student‑support environment). Required
  • Ability to work with rapidly changing information and state‑specific regulatory requirements.
  • Strong attention to detail due to the volume and type of documentation being processed.
  • PC skills in Microsoft Office, database systems, and internet applications required.
  • Prior experience with student‑facing systems or CRM platforms preferred.
  • Must communicate effectively and professionally with students and staff through written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to follow detailed, standardized processes with accuracy and consistency.
  • Strong organizational and time‑management skills with the ability to manage multiple students and deadlines.
  • Demonstrated customer service skills and responsiveness.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment, including conducting virtual meetings.

Additional Information

In support of the pay transparency laws enacted across the country, the expected salary range for this position is between $18.70 and $33.84. Actual pay will be adjusted based on job-related factors permitted by law, such as experience and training; geographic location; licensure and certifications; market factors; departmental budgets; and responsibility.
