This is a Planisware Business Administrator role:
Summary:
Planisware is a commercially available portfolio management software, purchased with the intention of a global deployment across all R&D entities. The intention is to aggregate the entire product development portfolio (schedule and cost) in one source of truth (Planisware). This role will be focused on OPDC related product development activities, with strong collaboration and system maintenance with our OPCJ partners.
Role & Responsibilities:
Three Core Roles
- Planisware Level 1 End User Support: End users consist of pharmaceutical development asset managers who need frequent support in navigating the system, updating project schedules and preparing reports (80% of level 1 help desk calls). Other users of the system maintain read-only access who require assistance with navigation and reporting (20% of level 1 help desk calls).
- Planisware Business System Administration: This portion of the role deals with administering the business side of the system. Includes items such as user provisioning/deprovisioning, master data maintenance, end user training, managing/creating styles, portfolios, and templates. Configure Planisware modules, forms, workflows, dashboards, and reporting capabilities. Create and maintain custom objects, business rules, calculations, and automated processes. Document system configurations and technical specifications.
- Linked business process support and continuous improvement: The position resides inside a business operations function that is also responsible for business operations support (outside of Planisware) at various levels across the R&D function. This includes activities such as periodic reporting, ad hoc reporting utilizing a data warehouse linked to Planisware. Other development functions may use Planisware data to generate their own book for work to manage their functions. Because Planisware is utilized very heavily within the R&D organization, many business practices need to be created, updated, or modified. Planisware is a core portfolio tool in the R&D organization, however this position is not 100% dedicated to Planisware. There are linked processes that generate data that feeds Planisware, or processes that utilize Planisware data downstream.
In addition to the responsibilities of Planisware, this position will also provide business process support and continuous improvement in the following areas:
- Periodic Reporting
- Ad hoc reporting from various systems
- Creation and updating of business process/practices across PS&AM operations
- Monthly updates to resource allocation tool (Intrinsics)
- Reconciliation and follow-ups regarding GSL updates
- Reports Portal modifications/updates
- KPIs
- MS Project initiatives
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Planisware experience (5 years preferred) - potential candidate should be able to describe how they were trained in Planisware and how they used Planisware in the past.
- Strong understanding of system configuration, workflows, and reporting tools.
- Advanced Excel, MS Project and reporting skills.
- Knowledge of Pharmaceutical R&D process
- Project management experience to be able to manage some continuous improvement projects within Planisware
- Ability to work well with end users understanding their experience and patience in resolution, translating technical aspects into language the average end user can understand.
- OPDC operates in the eastern time zone. OPDC belongs to a global R&D entity that operates in the US, EU, and Japan. It is not uncommon to have early morning calls or evening calls to accommodate Europe.
