Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and professional Security Officer to join our team in Kochi, India. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our guests and employees by conducting regular patrols, monitoring premises, and responding promptly to security concerns. Working under the guidance of the Security Manager, you will serve as a visible deterrent to unauthorized activity while demonstrating exceptional customer service and a collaborative approach to workplace safety.

• Monitor and patrol assigned areas, both inside and outside the property perimeter, to ensure a secure environment for all guests and employees
• Maintain a high-visibility presence to detect, deter, observe, and report any suspicious or inappropriate activities
• Respond promptly to emergency situations and security incidents, providing necessary assistance and support
• Operate alarm systems, video cameras, and other security detection equipment with proficiency and attention to detail
• Prepare accurate and comprehensive written reports documenting incidents, observations, and security concerns
• Prevent losses and damage by identifying irregularities, informing violators of policies and procedures, and restraining trespassers when necessary
• Anticipate potential security problems and take proactive measures to minimize opportunities for loss or damage
• Perform first aid or CPR when required in emergency situations
• Provide excellent customer service while maintaining professional security protocols
• Adhere to all company service standards, operating procedures, and local, state, and federal regulations
• Conduct traffic control, property patrols, and accident investigations as needed
• Work collaboratively with other team members and departments to promote a safe and inclusive workplace environment
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor or manager to support organizational objectives

Qualifications

**Required Qualifications:**

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• One to two years of experience in a public-contact position, preferably in an upscale hospitality or corporate environment
• Proven experience as a Security Officer or security guard
• Knowledge of legal guidelines for area security, public safety, and local Indian security regulations and compliance requirements
• Excellent surveillance and observation skills with strong analytical abilities
• Proficiency in report writing and documentation
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to read, write, speak, and understand English fluently
• Ability to multitask effectively and work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of attention to detail
• Physical capability to stand or walk for a minimum of eight-hour shifts
• Ability to twist, reach, bend, climb, and carry objects as necessary
• Ability to work both inside and outside in all weather conditions as needed
• Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
• Demonstrated integrity, trustworthiness, and professional demeanor
• Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure and in stressful situations
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with team members to promote teamwork and workplace safety

**Preferred Qualifications:**

• First aid or CPR certification
• Familiarity with alarm systems, video monitoring equipment, and security technology
• Experience working in diverse, multicultural environments
• Previous experience in the hospitality or corporate security sector
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills with a gracious and friendly demeanor
