CKSource is the creator of CKEditor, and with more than 20 years’ experience creating WYSIWYG editors, we’re the experts in rich text editing. Our flagship product, CKEditor 5, is trusted by both Fortune 500 companies and hundreds of millions of users worldwide, for its almost limitless possibilities and customizations. The latest version, CKEditor 5, was rewritten in TypeScript with a modern MVC architecture, custom data model and virtual-DOM structures, and is purpose-built for collaboration. It effortlessly works with modern tech stacks and easily handles complex implementations and edge cases. Developers have complete front- and back-end control of the editor, to easily configure, customize and control every aspect of the editor’s look, feel, and functionality. Infinite possibilities are achievable with the CKEditor WYSIWYG: collaborative tools and advanced features are individually selected, to perfectly suit your application and users. The story began in 2003 with a single open-source side project, when Brazilian developer Frederico Caldeira Knabben built a groundbreaking rich text editor, known as FCKEditor. The software rapidly became so popular in the open-source community that the project quickly expanded. CKSource was established in 2006 and has steadily grown ever since. In 2021, the company became part of Tiugo Technologies, a PSG portfolio company specializing in global, API-first developer platforms in the document and data management markets. CKSource now has over 80 employees, including more than 50 talented developers. In addition to making our market-leading software, we’re dedicated to supporting our people and building a brilliant company culture. In September 2022, CKSource was awarded the Great Place to Work® Certification™ – a global ranking based entirely on employee satisfaction.

Job description

Tiugo is the company behind CKEditor, TinyMCE, and Uploadcare: developer tools that power rich content creation inside thousands of applications worldwide.

Our primary audience is the builder, the developer architecting an application that needs an embedded, enterprise-grade content and AI layer, where governance, compliance, and control are not nice-to-haves but hard requirements.

Behind every one of our products is a genuinely good story about solving exactly that problem well. Most of the world hasn't heard it yet.

The storyteller we're looking for

Great product marketing for developer tools lives in two worlds at once, and most people are only comfortable in one. You're very comfortable in both.

  • With builders, you go deep: Our primary audience is the developer designing an application where an embedded content and AI layer has to hold up to enterprise governance, compliance, and control. You want to understand their architecture, their constraints, the trade-offs they're weighing. You ask good technical questions, you respect their time, and you earn trust by getting the details right. Hand-wavy marketing makes you wince.

  • With decision-makers, you zoom out: You can take that same product and tell a crisp business story to a CTO, a VP of Engineering, or a product leader, people who care less about the internals and more about velocity, risk, cost, and staying compliant and in control as they ship AI into production. You make the value obvious without dumbing it down.

Where you sit

You report to your brand's Head of Product Marketing and work inside a tight pod built around a single brand: product marketing, developer relations, and the product team. Each function keeps its own reporting line, DevRel within a central DevRel team, product managers within Product. But the three move in lockstep on one mission: make the brand impossible to ignore. You'll be in the room with the people building the product and the people talking to developers every day. The raw material for great stories is right there; your job is to shape it.

What you will do

  • Tell the technical story: Turn real product capability into messaging that's accurate, vivid, and credible to the builders staking an enterprise application on it, developers who need governance, compliance, and control baked in, not bolted on. Honesty and precision are how trust gets earned here.

  • Tell the business story: Translate that same product into the language of the people who sign off, the outcomes, the risk reduction, the AI-era advantage. Build the narratives, decks, and proof points that help close enterprise deals.

  • Drive launches that land: Plan and run product and feature launches end to end, in concert with DevRel, product, and Growth Marketing, so releases hit with real impact instead of a quiet blog post.

  • Create content across the spectrum: From deeply technical deep-dives and comparison pieces to executive one-pagers and build-versus-buy narratives, you choose the right depth for the right reader every time.

  • Go to the source: Talk to developers and buyers, sit close to product usage and win/loss patterns, and bring real voices, not assumptions, into everything the team ships.

  • Win the AI discovery layer: Help the brand show up sharply when developers and buyers research through AI tools and search. How we get cited and surfaced is part of the modern storyteller's job.

  • Sharpen the edge: Know the competitors and alternatives cold, and arm the team with positioning that makes clear where this brand wins and why.
