Our client is a well-established landscape construction company based in Denver, Colorado, with over 30 years of experience delivering high-end residential and commercial projects throughout Colorado and neighboring states. Operating with a close-knit team of approximately 100 employees, the company manages every stage of the construction process in-house—from design and estimating to project execution.

Known for its detail-oriented approach and long-term relationships with clients, vendors, and employees, the company specializes in complex landscape construction projects ranging from $300,000 to over $6 million. With a strong backlog of work extending into 2027–2028, they are looking for an estimator who wants to grow with a stable, collaborative organization.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join the team full-time. This role is responsible for preparing accurate bids, evaluating project scopes, coordinating with vendors and suppliers, and supporting operations on complex landscape construction projects.

The ideal candidate understands multiple construction trades, enjoys solving technical challenges, and thrives in a structured environment where accuracy and collaboration are valued over speed.

This is a remote position supporting projects across Colorado, with an initial two-week onsite training period in Denver.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates and competitive bids for landscape construction projects.

  • Review construction drawings, specifications, and project documents to develop accurate project scopes.

  • Perform quantity takeoffs using Eagle View, Bluebeam, On-Screen Takeoff (OST), and related estimating software.

  • Estimate projects involving:

    • Asphalt

    • Concrete and flatwork

    • Curb and gutter

    • Landscape installation

    • Irrigation systems

    • Site lighting

    • Sod installation

    • Dirt work and grading

  • Develop estimates for projects from raw land development through final completion.

  • Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to obtain pricing and material availability.

  • Support just-in-time inventory planning and supply chain coordination across multiple active job sites.

  • Conduct initial site reviews and collaborate with field operations throughout the estimating process.

  • Maintain historical estimating data, project records, and pricing databases.

  • Work closely with operations to ensure accurate project handoffs after contract award.

Qualifications

  • Civil Engineering degree or equivalent construction estimating experience.

  • 3–6+ years of experience estimating U.S. construction projects.

  • Strong understanding of civil, site development, or landscape construction.

  • Experience preparing estimates across multiple construction trades.

  • Proficiency with:

    • Eagle View

    • Bluebeam

    • On-Screen Takeoff (OST)

    • Microsoft Office Suite

  • Fluent English communication skills.

  • Spanish proficiency is highly preferred.

  • Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.

  • Comfortable learning proprietary estimating systems and internal workflows.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience estimating projects valued between $300K and $6M+.

  • Knowledge of Colorado construction practices, mountain terrain, soil conditions, or high-altitude construction.

  • Experience coordinating supply chain logistics and just-in-time inventory.

  • Previous experience owning or managing a construction business is a strong advantage.

  • Proven ability to manage complex, multi-trade estimates from concept through bid submission.

What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate is analytical, systematic, and committed to producing accurate work. They enjoy understanding projects in depth, communicate effectively with both field and office teams, and take pride in delivering well-developed estimates. Success in this role comes from being collaborative, detail-oriented, and eager to learn the company's proven estimating processes.
