GIC is one of the world’s largest sovereign wealth funds. With over 2,000 employees across 11 locations around the world, we invest in more than 40 countries globally across asset classes and businesses. Working at GIC gives you exposure to an extraordinary network of the world’s industry leaders. As a leading global long-term investor, we Work at the Point of Impact for Singapore’s financial future, and the communities we invest in worldwide.

Technology Group
We experiment, design, and lead a 24×7 global business where we support core capabilities in asset management, trading, investment operations, and risk management. We deliver secure, reliable, and integrated solutions, and provide insights on new, and emerging technologies.

Infrastructure & Cybersecurity Resilience (ICR)
We design, build, and secure the technology foundations that power GIC’s global investment operations. We aim to deliver resilient, scalable, and secure infrastructure that empowers our people and businesses to perform securely, efficiently, and effectively.

What impact will you make in this role?

As an Ansible Automation Platform (AAP) & AIOps Developer, you will design, build, and operate intelligent automation and observability solutions on the Ansible Automation Platform that improve the reliability, resilience, and efficiency of enterprise infrastructure and applications.

You will develop Ansible content - playbooks, roles, collections, and Event-Driven Automation (EDA) rulebooks - and Python/LangGraph-based agentic workflows to enable consistent, auditable, and secure provisioning, configuration, remediation, and self-service automation across hybrid environments. You will own AAP platform governance and reusable automation standards, and expand adoption across teams through onboarding and enablement.

You will apply AIOps and Agentic AI techniques to drive proactive incident prevention, root-cause transparency, and self-healing operations, ensuring operational stability and compliance with financial regulatory standards.

What will you do as Ansible Automation Platform & AIOps Developer?

Ansible Automation Platform (AAP) Development

  • Develop and maintain Ansible content — playbooks, roles, collections, modules, and templates — for provisioning, configuration management, orchestration, and automated remediation.
  • Operate and govern the Ansible Automation Platform (AAP), including platform health, availability, upgrades, execution environments, access management, job/workflow template hygiene, and inventory management.
  • Design and implement Event-Driven Automation (EDA) rulebooks to trigger automated, self-healing responses from operational events and alerts.
  • Apply automation governance and quality controls — Ansible Lint, policy enforcement, secure secrets handling, and compliance-aligned automation standards — and manage automation code in GitHub with version control, code review, and CI/CD best practices.

AIOps & Agentic AI Engineering

  • Develop Python and/or LangGraph scripts and agentic AI workflows to automate operational tasks, diagnostics, and remediation.
  • Build and integrate AIOps capabilities for predictive alerting, anomaly detection, and intelligent event correlation across infrastructure and applications.
  • Design and operationalise agentic AI solutions that augment incident response and reduce manual intervention.
  • Develop self-healing and auto-remediation workflows driven by AI/ML insights and integrated with AAP and EDA.
  • Contribute to reusable automation frameworks, modules, APIs, and self-service capabilities that can be adopted by infrastructure, application, and platform teams.
  • Provide enablement and onboarding support for teams adopting AAP automation and AIOps capabilities.

Observability, Reliability & Collaboration

  • Implement observability and event correlation across metrics, logs, and traces to feed AIOps and enable proactive reliability management.
  • Embed AAP-driven automation and AIOps into the delivery and incident-management lifecycle to reduce toil and improve reliability.
  • Collaborate with Application, Infrastructure, Cloud, and Cyber teams to enable predictive incident prevention and root-cause transparency.
  • Maintain documentation and runbooks, and mentor engineers on AAP automation and AIOps best practices.

What makes you a successful candidate?

Core hands-on experience with Ansible Automation Platform and AIOps automation:

  • Hands-on Ansible experience, including playbook and role development, collections, reusable automation modules/templates, and configuration management.
  • Hands-on experience with Ansible Automation Platform (AAP) — job/workflow templates, execution environments, inventories, and platform administration.
  • Experience with Ansible Event-Driven Automation (EDA) is highly advantageous.
  • Python and/or LangGraph scripting experience applied to AIOps and Agentic AI.
  • Experience using GitHub and CI/CD pipelines for automation delivery.
  • Observability and event correlation experience feeding AIOps use cases.

General qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Experience in Infrastructure, Platform Automation, DevOps, or SRE roles, ideally within financial or regulated environments.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to design long-term preventive solutions.
  • Familiarity with operational resilience frameworks, regulatory compliance, and incident governance is an advantage.

Preferred Certifications

  • Red Hat Certified Specialist in Ansible Automation / Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE)
  • Python Certified Expert / relevant AI/ML certification
  • GitHub Actions / CI/CD certification
  • SRE Foundation / Practitioner (DevOps Institute)
  • ITIL v4 Foundation
