Provides moderate design, full configuration, and full support for complex data, voice, storage, and/or video networks, which will include contact center and network security technology. Demonstrates subject matter expertise in at least one of these disciplines to be able to handle most design questions and all but the most challenging support issues in TD SYNNEX's complex global environment, while delivering exceptional responsiveness, quality and reliability. Makes effective use of all resources, including support contracts, to securely and effectively solve problems, and also provides technical guidance to more junior engineers. Proactively engages with vendors and partners to explore ways to further optimize TD SYNNEX services for reliability, performance and efficiency.
Designs, configures, and implements complex regional network solutions to enable new business opportunities, support organic growth and M&A, and to implement and improve new application services. Solution components may include departmental switches, enterprise switches, routers, firewalls, VPN gateways, IP telephony, IVR, Automated CAll Distribution (ACD), SD-WAN appliances, WAN accelerators, Load balancers, and other network technologies. (55%)
Provides full operational support for global and regional network services that provide customer access to revenue-generating applications and colleague access to systems used to run the comapny and support customers, with rare assistance from more senior engineers in mission critical and/or extremely complex situations. (20%)
Ensures work is well-organized, and provides ongoing task tracking to ensure project deadlines are met (10%)
Mentors and develops more junior engineers (10%)
Updates documentation with new findings (5%)
5 to 8 Years of relevant work experience.
Master's / Postgraduate Degree with Network Engineering or Related Field of Study preferred.
Bachelor's Degree with Network Engineering or Related field of study required.
Other Education / Certifications: - Cisco Certified DevNet Professional, Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) Security, CCNP Collaboration w/2+ concentrations, F5 (or other load balancer) Certified Technical Specialist, Knowledge related to state of the art tools and techniques to reduce network latency and optimize network performance
