Job Description:

Oversee mission‑driven technology initiatives for our federal customers as a Project Manager. Here, you’ll see the bigger picture behind transformation efforts—and where your project management career can grow at GDIT.

MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT

As a Project Manager, the work you’ll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of our federal government customer. You will play a key role in supporting a multi‑cloud technology transformation that strengthens the customer’s ability to deliver secure, modern, and efficient digital services.

  • Develop and maintain project scope, work plans, and timelines, ensuring alignment with business objectives, stakeholder expectations, and regulatory compliance
  • Support day‑to‑day project coordination, task tracking, and schedule management across multi‑cloud modernization workstreams
  • Coordinate between technical teams (cloud architects, DevOps, network, security, data engineering), business stakeholders, and clients to ensure seamless integration of cloud platforms  
  • Drive the delivery of high‑quality project documentation, risk and issue management, and continuous improvement practices to help the team address challenges quickly and effectively
  • Monitor deliverables, conduct reviews, and use feedback to improve processes and outcomes
  • Utilize project management tools, cloud modernization concepts, and standard PM methodologies to support consistent, transparent project execution

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED

Bring your project management expertise and motivation for innovation to GDIT. The Project/Task Manager must have:

  • Education: Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, IT or Project Management
  • Certifications: PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) required, Cloud platform specific certifications preferred (AWS, Azure, Google or Oracle).
  • Experience: 5+ years of related experience
  • Technical skills: Familiarity with cloud transformation efforts, IT modernization concepts, and standard project management tools
  • Security clearance level: Public Trust (or ability to obtain)
  • Timeline: This is a contingent position expected to start in late summer of 2026.
  • Work will be remote, with some travel.

The likely salary range for this position is $111,155 - $150,385. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.

Our benefits package for all US-based employees includes a variety of medical plan options, some with Health Savings Accounts, dental plan options, a vision plan, and a 401(k) plan offering the ability to contribute both pre and post-tax dollars up to the IRS annual limits and receive a company match. To encourage work/life balance, GDIT offers employees full flex work weeks where possible and a variety of paid time off plans, including vacation, sick and personal time, holidays, paid parental, military, bereavement and jury duty leave. GDIT typically provides new employees with 15 days of paid leave per calendar year to be used for vacations, personal business, and illness and an additional 10 paid holidays per year. Paid leave and paid holidays are prorated based on the employee’s date of hire. The GDIT Paid Family Leave program provides a total of up to 160 hours of paid leave in a rolling 12 month period for eligible employees. To ensure our employees are able to protect their income, other offerings such as short and long-term disability benefits, life, accidental death and dismemberment, personal accident, critical illness and business travel and accident insurance are provided or available. We regularly review our Total Rewards package to ensure our offerings are competitive and reflect what our employees have told us they value most.
