Agility Robotics is scaling production of Digit over the coming years. Reliable, repeatable calibration of every robot -- across perception sensors and kinematics -- is foundational to that scale. The Sr. Staff Software Engineer - Calibration is responsible for Agility's calibration capability end to end.
This is a player-coach role. The successful candidate will personally design, build, and deliver the calibration systems used in production, leveraging existing vendors, components, and systems. The candidate will also identify and develop other engineers contributing to calibration work, and will help shape the long-term technical direction of calibration at Agility.
The role demands strong conceptual depth combined with pragmatic, tried-and-true implementation. Calibration at Agility is a practical engineering discipline grounded in real-world production environments. The successful candidate will operate with broad technical autonomy, set the bar for calibration accuracy and repeatability, and produce outputs that flow into downstream manufacturing processes. Cross-functional overlap with sensor vendors, contract manufacturers, and internal hardware, controls, and perception teams is inherent to the role.
This is a fully remote role with the option to work hybrid if a commutable distance from our Salem, OR, Pittsburgh, PA, or Fremont, CA offices.
The final salary offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to: market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This range may change based on geographical location and may be modified in the future.
