Job description

We are seeking a talented Senior Software Engineer with strong backend expertise to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate has extensive experience building scalable backend applications, designing robust APIs, and developing data-intensive solutions using modern cloud technologies.

In this role, you'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software, contribute to technical decisions, and build reliable, maintainable systems that power enterprise-scale digital products.

What you'll be doing

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications and services using Python.
• Build and optimize RESTful APIs that support enterprise applications and integrations.
• Design and implement efficient data models, database schemas, and SQL queries.
• Develop and maintain ETL processes and large-scale data processing workflows.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to deliver high-quality software solutions.
• Optimize application performance, troubleshoot complex issues, and implement scalable solutions.
• Contribute to software architecture, code reviews, and engineering best practices.
• Build, test, and deploy applications using modern CI/CD pipelines and cloud infrastructure.
• Work within Agile teams, proactively communicating progress, technical risks, and implementation recommendations.
• Continuously improve system reliability, maintainability, and overall engineering quality.

What we would like to see

• 6+ years of professional experience as a Software Engineer, with recent senior-level backend development experience.
• Strong proficiency in Python and experience building scalable, production-grade applications.
• Solid understanding of object-oriented programming, clean architecture, design patterns, and software engineering best practices.
• Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs and backend services.
• Strong experience with SQL and relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL, including data modeling and query optimization.
• Hands-on experience building ETL pipelines, data processing solutions, and large-scale data workflows.
• Experience working with cloud platforms such as Google Cloud Platform (preferred), AWS, or Azure.
• Familiarity with distributed systems, asynchronous processing, and backend performance optimization.
• Experience using Git, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and modern software development practices.
• Knowledge of Docker; Kubernetes experience is a plus.
• Experience working in Agile environments with cross-functional engineering teams.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Professional English proficiency with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
