Job description

The role

As a Lead Motion Designer / Editor, you will be a hands-on creative leader responsible for defining and delivering motion design, editorial, and VFX work.

You will use motion as a storytelling tool, shaping rhythm, pacing, and emotional impact across all deliverables, while mentoring team members and collaborating closely with clients.

You will thrive in this role if you are:

Role responsibilities

  • Lead the creative direction of motion design and editing across projects
  • Design and execute high-impact motion, 3D, and VFX work
  • Shape storytelling through pacing, rhythm, transitions, and visual flow
  • Develop original motion languages and visual systems
  • Create content for brand films, pitch materials, digital experiences, and campaigns
  • Extend motion design into web, apps, and interactive platforms
  • Provide creative direction and feedback to team members
  • Ensure quality through attention to timing, detail, and craft execution
  • Present and explain creative decisions clearly to clients, linking design to strategy
  • Contribute to high-stakes content such as sizzles, launches, and proposals 

Minimum qualifications

  • Proven experience in motion design, editorial, and VFX (senior/lead level)
  • Strong expertise in After Effects and video editing tools (e.g., DaVinci Resolve)
  • Advanced capabilities in 3D tools (Cinema 4D or Blender)
  • Experience delivering high-quality VFX and compositing work
  • Strong understanding of visual storytelling, pacing, and narrative structure
  • Experience collaborating with teams and reviewing creative work
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English
  • Strong client-facing communication skills

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience working in creative studios, agencies, or production environments
  • Strong skills in design tools such as Illustrator, Photoshop, or Figma
  • Experience translating motion into digital products (web/apps)
  • Additional language skills (Spanish or Portuguese)
  • Experience mentoring or leading teams

Additional requirement

  • Portfolio must include examples of generative AI integration in motion/content work
