Position: Cyber Security Engineer 

Location : Barcelona 

Report to : Head of Security Operations

About the role: 

As a Cybersecurity Engineer, you will play a key role in protecting TMHCC’s international technology environment by strengthening our detection, investigation and response capabilities. Working within our International Security Operations function, you will help identify emerging threats, improve security controls and enhance our cyber resilience. You will collaborate with Security Engineering, Infrastructure and Technology teams to continuously improve our security operations and support the organization’s cyber resilience.  

 

Key Responsibilities:  

  • Administer and improve security controls across endpoint, server, identity, network, cloud and business application environments.  

  • Design, implement and continuously improve preventative and detective security controls.  

  • Investigate security incidents, perform threat analysis and support digital forensic activities, containment and remediation.  

  • Monitor security tools, operational metrics and threat intelligence to improve detection capabilities and reduce cyber risk.  

  • Develop and maintain technical standards, operational procedures, playbooks and knowledge documentation.  

  • Support Incident, Major Incident, Problem and Change Management processes.  

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to strengthen protection, detection, response and recovery capabilities.  

 

 

Skills And Competencies Required:  

  • Bachelor’s degree in Cyber Security, Computer Science, Information Technology or related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.  

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in Security Operations, Security Engineering, Incident Response or Infrastructure Security.  

  • Strong knowledge of endpoint, identity, cloud and infrastructure security technologies.  

  • Experience in threat detection, incident response, investigation and digital forensics.  

  • Understanding of security engineering principles, operational security tooling and IT Service Management.  

  • Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills.  

 

Skills And Competencies Preferred:  

  • CISSP or equivalent cybersecurity certification.  

  • Experience within regulated industries and global organizations.  

  • Experience providing technical leadership or mentoring.  

  • Ability to translate technical findings into practical security improvements.
