The Opportunity


As a Subrogation adjuster, you’ll play a critical role in enforcing the fundamental fairness on which our company was founded. You’ll be asked to safeguard our insureds and company, providing superior customer service while managing complex inter-industry relationships when insurance carriers attempt to recoup losses from one another.  Our goal is to leverage technology, data, and a team of highly talented people to build a claims experience that is recognized as number 1 in the industry.


Salary Range:  $53,800 - $65,000

How You Will Make an Impact

  • Initiate investigations of outgoing and incoming subrogation losses
  • Prepares auto damage and first party medical subrogation claims for outbound recovery. This includes gathering pertinent data for use in determining the actual amounts paid on claims, communicating and corresponding with policy holders, insurance carriers, and payees
  • Qualify and refer uninsured claimant subrogation demands
  • Review demands for auto damage, fixed property, and specialty vehicles
  • Evaluates completeness and accuracy of documentary evidence 
  • Confirms accuracy of settlement proceeds and issues deductibles to policyholders when warranted
  • Identifies successful arbitration referrals and provides satisfactory basis for the same
  • Issues all payments within individual authority
  • Basic understanding of negotiation tactics including holistic file implications  
  • Basic understanding of compromising settlements versus overall business expense
  • Experienced in liability and coverage investigations


What You Will Need to Succeed

  • 2+ years of successful experience handling insurance claims, where you were directly responsible issuing payments, responding to correspondence, and following instructions from management
  • Familiar with Arbitration Forums and E-Subrogation Hub  
  • Ability to obtain and maintain insurance licenses in several states (including Texas) within three months
  • High sense of professionalism while remaining empathetic
  • Familiarity with claims best practices  
  • Curious in nature
  • Great attention to detail
  • Ability to approach problems with an open mind
  • Team centric focus
