WORK FROM HOME POSITION LEVEL:  Full Time – Team members may work remotely full time, attending required in person meetings, etc. as scheduled by supervisor.

Role:

Preserves the Credit Union's assets by administering all operational activities in the process of liquidating acquired collateral, while ensuring high efficiency and optimal value are attained. Uses independent judgment and critical thinking to assess best avenues for liquidation, and maintains mutually beneficial vendor relationships.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
40% Manages the process of preparing acquired collateral for liquidation, including reconditioning, and remarketing. Uses independent thinking to assess best liquidation outlet for multiple asset types, and carries out to completion. Avenues include web-based platforms as well as live interaction. Satisfies sale of remarketed collateral in an expedient manner to reduce loss and maximize value.

25% Manages multiple internal and external relationships to identify and execute ongoing efficiencies and opportunities for the area of Asset Protection. Builds relationships, and periodically reviews vendors for performance and compliance

25% Completes appropriate file documentation and records. Compiles all data related to recovery in appropriate operating system, and performs post sales analysis. Remains up to date on all regulations and training pertaining to this position. Strategically analyzes and informs Asset Protection Manager of trends in loan underwriting contributing to delinquent/charged-off loans.

5% Testifies at legal proceedings as required.

5% Proactively performs other duties as needed or assigned.

Performance Measurements:
1. Supports and practices Rogue's Vision, Mission, Values and Loyalty Culture. Utilizes the Service Promises with both internal and external members. Embraces Rogue's community involvement program in a positive and proactive manner.

2. Maximizes the collection and/or recovery of credit union assets from delinquent or charged-off loans, while limiting financial losses for the Credit Union in a timely and effective manner.

3. Maintains accurate and complete records of all collection and recovery activity.

4. Ensures that collection activity is both within credit union policy and all relevant regulations.

5. Accurately identifies and informs management of potential underwriting problems resulting in losses. Uses sound judgement and discretion to be predictive in trends within asset values.

6. Effectively manages relationships with vendors in a professional manner.

7. Manages entire acquired collateral inventory in an effective manner, while preparing units for sale.

Knowledge and Skills:
Experience: Three years to five years of similar or related experience.

Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred and/or equivalent

Interpersonal Skills: Courtesy, tact, and diplomacy are essential elements of the job. Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for purposes of giving or obtaining information, building relationships, or soliciting cooperation.

Other Skills: Professionalism, phone and in person communication skills, strong independent judgment with ability to make decisions and recommendations, good organization and productivity skills, accuracy and attention to detail. Strong experience and skill with spreadsheets and word processing software. Able to learn new systems and software quickly. Skilled at compiling and analyzing information to determine predicative trends.

Physical Requirements: Some lifting required (up to 30 pounds), continuous sitting, occasional standing and occasional walking. Finger dexterity while using computer. Occasional talking and hearing in person and on the telephone. Continuous clarity of vision at 20 inches or less and continuous clarity of vision at 20 feet or more.

Work Environment:
Normal workday with occasional overtime. Exposed to potentially hazardous condition, i.e., robbery.
