Job Description:

Are you a Technical Delivery leader with a passion for managing and building hands-on prototyping, rapid solution iteration, and mission-focused proofs of concept? Do you thrive at the intersection of engineering, development, and delivery execution, ensuring prototypes and early builds not only demonstrate feasibility—but also align with mission objectives, stakeholder priorities, and future delivery roadmaps?

As a Technical Delivery Sr. Principal, you will lead the design, build, and delivery of high-impact prototypes while coordinating engineering teams, streamlining delivery workflows, and ensuring alignment with operational outcomes. You will own a portfolio of high-visibility solutions built on and with partners - based on innovation in the most sought-after areas of Generative AI, Agentic AI, Cloud, Quantum, Cybersecurity, and DevSecOps. This position combines deep technical expertise with functional delivery leadership, offering high visibility across customer modernization initiatives and GDIT partner ecosystems.

Primary Responsibilities

• Oversee and direct the delivery of cloud‑native prototypes, products, builds, and proofs of concepts, ensuring teams execute implementations on AWS, Google Cloud, ServiceNow, Azure, Dell, Nvidia, OpenAI, Splunk, Appgate, GitLab, and modern DevSecOps platforms in alignment with mission objectives, timelines, and quality standards.
• Oversee and guide the delivery of CI/CD pipeline and automation framework implementations, ensuring teams leverage AWS developer tools, GitLab CI/CD, and Google Cloud in alignment with program priorities, quality standards, and release timelines.
• Direct teams delivering secure and scalable infrastructure across AWS, Google Cloud, Emerge Labs, and on‑prem environments, ensuring IaC implementations (Terraform, Ansible) meet architectural standards, compliance requirements, and delivery timelines.
• Direct and coordinate the delivery of funded Builds and POCs ensuring teams follow best practices in orchestration, security, networking, and optimization to support mission‑aligned prototype outcomes.
• Ensure delivery teams adhere to DevSecOps best practices—including configuration-as-code, automated testing, container security, and federal compliance frameworks—to maintain consistent quality, security, and auditability across prototype outputs.

• Ensure the development and delivery of clear technical documentation, architecture diagrams, deployment guides, and prototype artifacts that support downstream engineering, integration, and customer-facing activities.

Technical Delivery Responsibilities

• Align prototype and technical delivery priorities across multiple workstreams, ensuring clear sequencing, controlled dependencies, and predictable timelines.
• Coordinate across internal delivery teams, partner technical groups, divisions, COEs and external partners to ensure early-stage builds support broader modernization objectives.
• Drive clarity around delivery priorities, sprint objectives, technical risk areas, and release commitments to support rapid-iteration prototype cycles.
• Work closely with program leadership, government stakeholders, and user communities to ensure technical delivery outcomes align with mission needs and operational goals.
• Manage delivery artifacts & resources across teams to maintain consistent velocity, transparency, and high-quality output throughout prototype development.
• Maintain delivery roadmaps, integrated build plans, and risk profiles for early-stage solutions, proactively addressing delivery, integration, or dependency blockers.
• Support customer-facing activities—including demos, sprint reviews, architecture discussions, and planning sessions—by clearly communicating delivery progress, risks, and milestones.
• Present delivery-focused metrics such as prototype readiness, sprint throughput, impediments, integration risks, and upcoming build milestones.
• Use AI tools to validate prototype deliverables for completeness, quality, and alignment with customer-defined functional and mission requirements.
• Ensure prototype capabilities remain aligned with evolving mission priorities, business needs, and operational realities.
• Support testing cycles, including functional testing, integration testing, and UAT, to ensure prototypes meet quality, usability, and compliance expectations.
• Coach teams on modern delivery practices, automation approaches, tooling enhancements, and AI-enabled methods that improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.
• Lead technical delivery transformation initiatives that elevate team performance, introduce modern practices, and enhance delivery predictability and consistency.

Capture & Strategic Support

• Provide technical delivery insights, feasibility assessments, and prototype-based discriminators to strengthen enterprise capture strategies.
• Contribute delivery-focused technical content—including diagrams, narratives, and prototype summaries—to proposals where early solution validation is a critical differentiator.
• Collaborate with cloud and DevSecOps partners to ensure prototype delivery aligns with joint solution strategies and mission-driven accelerator offerings.
