Responsibilities:

We are seeking a results-driven Scrum Master to join our team and contribute to developing cutting-edge healthcare data solutions. This role involves building, managing, and optimizing data pipelines, ensuring the reliable acquisition, storage, transformation, and delivery of data for our health-focused applications with a primary focus on Medicare, Medicare Advantage, and risk adjustment.

 

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Ceremony Facilitation: Lead and optimize core Agile events, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and sprint retrospectives.
  • Impediment Resolution: Proactively identify, track, and clear roadblocks, collaborating with stakeholders to resolve dependencies and system access issues.
  • Team Coaching: Mentor cross-functional delivery teams (developers, testers, analysts) toward self-organization, high performance, and continuous maturity in Scrum practices.
  • Backlog Management: Partner closely with the CMS Product Owner and business stakeholders to refine user stories, prioritize the product backlog, and plan release cycles.
  • Metric Tracking & Reporting: Monitor sprint progress and team velocity, utilizing Agile tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence) to report performance metrics and identify areas for process improvement.
  • Compliance & Alignment: Ensure project delivery aligns with the CMS Target Architecture and federal healthcare data security protocols.
Qualifications:
  • Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 5 years serving as a dedicated Scrum Master in Agile software development, ideally supporting large federal or healthcare IT environments.
  • Certifications: Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM) required.
  • Domain Knowledge: Familiarity with CMS programs (Medicare, Medicaid, healthcare.gov) or federal enterprise modernization.
  • Tool Proficiency: Demonstrated expertise in Agile project tracking software (Jira, Confluence).

 

Target salary range: $83,000 - $119,000. 

 

The salary range displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is not a guarantee of compensation. Individual salaries are determined by various factors including, but not limited to location, internal equity, business considerations, client contract requirements, and candidate qualifications, such as education, experience, skills, and security clearances.
