The Regional VP, Contracting manages the development, operations, and results of a health plan. The Regional VP, Contracting requires an in-depth understanding of how organization capabilities interrelate across segments and enterprise wide.

The Regional Vice President, Contracting will be responsible for all contract negotiations in the Pacific Southwest Region including, CA, NV, AZ, CO, NM, HI. The Regional VP, Contracting will establish long-range goals, objectives, and plans, monitor financial and operational performance, and coordinate activities of senior managers and their respective functions in the region. The RVP, Contracting should have a record of success leading the end-to-end contract negotiation process through closure for all types of providers including physicians, hospitals and post-acute care facilities as well as delegated specialty services.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • Extensive leadership experience in the healthcare industry

  • Proven track record of driving operational performance improvement

  • Proven experience developing multi-product strategy at the market level or higher.

  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills

  • Experience leading the end-to-end contract negotiation process through closure for all types of providers (physicians, hospitals, post-acute care facilities) and delegated specialty services.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of health plan finance and the compensation arrangements between health plans and providers

  • Knowledge of risk arrangements and ability to influence these arrangements.

  • Solid track record of hiring and developing talent and preparing associates for roles of broader and greater responsibility

  • Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences

  • Must live in and have the ability to travel as needed in the designated region: CA, NV, AZ, CO, NM, HI

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's Degree

  • Prefer residence in Los Angeles, Phoenix, Denver or Las Vegas

Work at Home Requirements: To ensure Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees’ ability to work effectively, the self-provided internet service of Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees must meet the following criteria: At minimum, a download speed of 25 Mbps and an upload speed of 10 Mbps is required; wireless, wired cable or DSL connection is suggested. In certain roles, the minimum recommended internet speed required by Humana may not be sufficient for business needs. Humana reserves the right to require associates to upgrade their internet service if necessary. Work from a dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information.

 

Travel: While this is a remote position, occasional travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings may be required.

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.


 

$203,400 - $279,800 per year


 

This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
