Position Overview:

We're looking for an experienced IP Specialist to join the Anaqua Law team. In this role, you'll become an expert in our AQX law engine, playing a critical part in keeping this platform's legal data accurate and up to date for customers worldwide. You'll be part of a team that prides itself on rigor, collaboration, and a genuine commitment to getting things right.

  • Learn and master all aspects of Anaqua's law engine, which powers IP deadline calculations, workflows, and legal rules used by customers worldwide
  • Conduct legal research to support quarterly law updates, capturing rule changes across all IP types and jurisdictions globally
  • Provide backup coverage across all stages of the quarterly law update process
  • Assist with a variety of law-related projects, including research, analysis, and ad hoc tasks as needed

 

What you’ll need to be successful:

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree & 2-3 years of recent, hands-on IP paralegal or docketing experience spanning the full IP lifecycle — from filing through to maintenance and abandonment — across Patents, Industrial Designs, and Trademarks in multiple jurisdictions worldwide
  • Strong analytical skills and the confidence to set priorities, exercise sound independent judgement, and take ownership of your work
  • The ability to interpret, analyze, and clearly communicate complex IP laws and regulations to a variety of audiences
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel
  • A highly organized, self-motivated working style with a track record of consistently meeting deadlines
  • Bonus points for: Direct experience using Anaqua’s AQX software

The total rewards package for this role is expected to include an annual salary between $50,000–$65,000, determined based on factors such as relevant experience, skills, and qualifications. Additional compensation may include a comprehensive benefits package.
