Description

K2United is an organization that houses two distinct, national, customer-facing brands tied together by a shared purpose: setting the standard for an extraordinary workplace. Through our brands, K2Share and CareerSafe, we provide advisory services in cyber risk management and online education for workforce readiness.

Our four core values define how we show up every day:

  • Respect Others – We lead with respect, building trust and connection.
  • Internally Driven – We are relentlessly compelled to accomplish our objectives.
  • Collaborative Innovation – We create by listening, sharing, and working together.
  • Client Success – We hold our client’s mission as our own.

We believe in people who are accountable, curious, and motivated to make an impact that matters.

Our programs make a big impact—CareerSafe supports 2 million+ users per year, and K2Share delivers IT support on federal systems. You’ll have the opportunity to shape technology strategy, lead a talented IT team, and make a difference in a mission-driven, small-business environment that values professional growth and work/life balance.

This is an opportunity to make a lasting impact on the systems that power how our teams work every day. You'll help shape the future of our enterprise application environment while building new capabilities alongside a collaborative, high-energy team.

About You

You're someone who enjoys bringing structure to complex systems and creating solutions that make work easier for everyone. You have deep experience with Atlassian products and appreciate that successful platforms require thoughtful governance, not just technical expertise.

You are naturally curious and eager to expand beyond your primary area of expertise. Rather than viewing new technologies as outside your role, you embrace opportunities to learn new business applications, AI tools, and enterprise platforms. You value collaboration and recognize that strong systems are built by partnering with the people who have supported and evolved them over time.

You thrive in an environment where continuous learning, process improvement, and teamwork are valued as highly as technical ability.

Your Impact

As our Atlassian Developer/Administrator, you'll serve as the primary administrator for K2United's Atlassian ecosystem while helping expand the capabilities of our broader Business Applications Support Team. You'll ensure Jira, Confluence, and related tools remain secure, scalable, and aligned with business needs while gradually developing expertise across additional enterprise platforms.

In this role, you will:

  • Administer Jira, Confluence, Jira Service Management, Jira Product Discovery, and related Atlassian products.
  • Design, configure, and maintain projects, workflows, screens, permissions, and automations — for both agile (Scrum/Kanban) and traditional/sequential teams — that support business operations.
  • Configure and administer Jira Premium capabilities, including Advanced Roadmaps, sandbox/release environments, and project archiving, to support safe change testing and enterprise-scale planning.
  • Establish and maintain platform governance standards that promote consistency, scalability, and security.
  • Audit existing configurations and consolidate projects, spaces, and applications into a maintainable enterprise environment, partnering with the people who have kept things running along the way.
  • Build JQL-based filters, dashboards, and reports that give stakeholders visibility into project and platform health.
  • Manage Atlassian integrations with enterprise systems while maintaining data integrity and traceability.
  • Evaluate, implement, and administer approved Atlassian Marketplace applications.
  • Partner with distributed Jira administrators to balance local flexibility with enterprise standards, and create documentation and training that help teams get the most out of Atlassian tools.
  • Support administration of additional enterprise platforms, including ERP, Salesforce, AI tools, and other approved business applications as organizational needs evolve.
  • Manage access, configuration, and usage standards for approved AI assistants and emerging technologies.
  • Collaborate with teammates to develop cross-functional expertise and provide backup support across multiple business systems.
  • Monitor application health, validate system changes, support security and compliance initiatives, and maintain documentation that enables long-term operational excellence.
Requirements

  • Experience administering Jira, Confluence, Jira Service Management, and other Atlassian products in an enterprise environment.
  • Experience configuring workflows, permissions, screens, projects, and automation within the Atlassian platform, for both agile (Scrum/Kanban) and traditional/waterfall-style teams.
  • Hands-on experience with Jira Premium features (Advanced Roadmaps, sandbox/release tracks, advanced permissions) in an enterprise environment.
  • Strong understanding of platform governance, application administration, and change management practices.
  • Experience leading or supporting platform audits, migrations, or large-scale configuration consolidations.
  • Experience building JQL filters, dashboards, and reports for stakeholder visibility.
  • Experience supporting integrations between business applications.
  • Ability to troubleshoot technical issues while maintaining security and data integrity.
  • Demonstrated curiosity and willingness to learn new enterprise applications, including ERP systems, Salesforce, and AI platforms.
  • Strong documentation, training, and communication skills, with experience helping non-technical users adopt new tools.
  • Experience working effectively across technical and non-technical teams.
  • Atlassian Certified Professional (Jira Administrator) preferred, though not required.
  • United States citizenship and authorization to work in the United States.
  • Ability to travel up to 10% as needed.

Benefits:
