What You'll Do

As a Project Manager II, you’ll lead the charge on planning and executing high-impact projects from start to finish. You’ll be the go-to for delivering work that’s on time, on budget, and aligned with client goals — all while navigating dynamic environments and rallying cross-functional teams. Key Responsibilities

  • Drive client satisfaction, client end customers satisfaction where applicable, and support vendor engagement and commitment to project success.
  • Develop internal JDFS processes, procedures and innovate solutions that enhance JDFS’ performance, job satisfaction, and company culture.
  • Manage multiple concurrent infrastructure, utility, or IT/security projects from initiation through completion.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, budgets, work breakdown structures (WBS), and status reports.
  • Track performance metrics (KPIs) and communicate progress to stakeholders and leadership.
  • Lead and coordinate interdisciplinary teams, vendors, subcontractors, and client representatives.
  • Facilitate project kickoff meetings, design reviews, progress check-ins, and final closeouts.
  • Ensure all work complies with safety, quality, legal, and regulatory requirements.
  • Identify risks and issues proactively; drive resolution strategies that maintain schedule and budget integrity.
  • Implement change control processes and manage scope adjustments as required.
  • Maintain documentation, manage project records, and support audit-readiness and contract compliance.
  • Coach junior staff, support onboarding of new team members, and contribute to internal process improvements.
  • Collaborate with client on best practices, ensure support vendor performance, influence processes, procedures and innovative solutions.
  • Additional functions, responsibilities, and engagements as assigned.

What You Bring

  • 7+  years of project management experience, ideally in utilities, construction, IT, or security sectors.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation communication abilities.
  • Proficiency with project tools like MS Project, Smartsheet, Primavera, or equivalent.
  • Ability to influence, lead cross-functional teams, and build consensus.
  • Out of the box mindset, see the big picture.

  • Minimum BS/BA or equivalent education & experience
  • PMP or equivalent certification preferred (or in progress).

Bonus Points If You Have

  • Experience with commercial, utility clients and/or public infrastructure projects.
  • Familiarity with regulatory and compliance frameworks (e.g., CPUC, DOE, NERC/CIP).
  • Background in technology integration, construction management, or enterprise system deployment.
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-accountability environments.
