SCOPE:

We are seeking a results-driven Appraisal Supervisor to help lead a team of field and desk appraisers. In this role, you will oversee the accurate and timely assessment of vehicle damages, ensure compliance with state regulations, assist with our Direct Repair Program (DRP) review incoming subrogation estimates/total losses and uphold quality standards across our appraisal operations. The ideal candidate is experienced in vehicle damage estimating, a strong communicator, and a collaborative leader with a commitment to operational excellence.


This position is also offered in a remote work arrangement, allowing the ideal candidate to work from their preferred location within the South Florida area, this position can work remotely.

Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership & Workflow Management
  • Organize, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of field and/or virtual appraisers.
  • Assign, monitor, and prioritize appraisal workloads to meet service level agreements (SLAs) and company objectives.
  • Conduct regular team meetings to share updates, resolve issues, and encourage engagement.
  • Provide coaching, feedback, and performance evaluations to foster individual and team growth.
Claims Review & Oversight
  • Review complex or high-value claims for estimate accuracy, policy compliance, and state regulatory adherence.
  • Serve as a point of escalation for disputed or sensitive claims.
  • Collaborate with adjusters, repair facilities, and legal or compliance teams when necessary.
Quality Assurance & Training
  • Implement and manage quality assurance programs to ensure consistent and accurate appraisals.
  • Conduct regular audits and provide feedback to improve appraisal performance.
  • Develop and deliver training sessions to enhance appraiser skills and knowledge of evolving industry practices.
Compliance & Industry Knowledge
  • Ensure all appraisal activities align with state regulations (especially Florida), company guidelines, and ethical standards.
  • Stay current on repair laws, parts/materials pricing trends, and insurance industry best practices.

Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience in auto claims or vehicle damage appraisals; 2+ years in a supervisory or leadership role preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Proficiency with estimating software (CCC One, Audatex, Mitchell, etc.).
  • Strong knowledge of Florida-specific repair laws and insurance regulations.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel for in-person inspections (if applicable).
  • Industry certifications (I-CAR, ASE, etc.) a plus.
