Hims & Hers is seeking an experienced Litigation Counsel to join our growing, collaborative Legal team. We want someone who is passionate about our mission of making the world feel great through the power of better health and eager to tackle novel issues at the intersection of healthcare, technology, and e-commerce. The successful candidate will have a strong litigation background, be a team player, entrepreneurial, and comfortable working in a fast-paced remote work environment. This role will report directly to the Managing Counsel, Litigation and will be responsible for supporting and managing disputes and litigation, developing and executing litigation strategy, providing legal guidance to our Customer Support and People teams, and partnering with cross-functional business teams across the company to pursue and defend litigation matters.

 
 

You Will:

  • Support and manage an active docket of disputes and litigation matters, including developing and executing case strategy in collaboration with internal stakeholders.

  • Represent the company in smaller litigation matters, including regulatory inquiries, subpoenas, and other third-party requests for information.

  • Manage outside counsel for more complex litigation matters, including providing strategic guidance and thought leadership, case management, and coordinating internally with business teams to gather relevant information.

  • Provide guidance and support to internal stakeholders on litigation-related matters, including risk assessments, proactive solutions, and mitigation strategies.

  • Support the development and implementation of the company’s discovery and litigation hold processes.

  • Provide guidance and updates to management on litigation matters in coordination with the Senior Litigation Counsel.

  • Maintain effective communication with insurance carriers and other third parties.

 
 

You Have:

  • J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school and current active license to practice law in at least one US jurisdiction.

  • 5+ years of litigation experience at a top law firm or in-house legal department.

  • Excellent written and oral advocacy skills, including top-notch litigation drafting skills.

  • Experience managing and resolving litigation matters.

  • Ability to think quickly and manage a complex workload with shifting priorities while meeting tight internal and external deadlines.

  • Resourceful self-starter, team-oriented mindset, strong collaboration skills, and a positive attitude.

  • Strong negotiation skills, excellent judgment, and clear communication.

  • Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail.
