Senior Claims Estimator

About the Role

Farha Roofing is seeking an experienced, high-level Estimator to join our team. This is not a training role; we are looking for a subject matter expert who can hit the ground running. You will be responsible for managing complex commercial roof estimates, navigating Third Party Administrator (TPA) guidelines, and handling advanced supplement processes for both complex and standard residential and commercial projects. 

What You Will Do

• Precision Estimating: Develop detailed, accurate estimates using Xactimate and Symbility (Cotality) for diverse commercial and residential projects.
• TPA/Carrier Relations: Estimation of TPA claims from initial estimate to final supplement approval. You must be comfortable advocating for accurate scope, identifying missing line items, and speaking with adjusters and TPA representatives
• Technical Proficiency: Review measurements, and elevations for varied systems, including TPO, PVC, EPDM, metal, and high-end specialty shingles, siding, and additional trades necessary as a part of our scope of work. 
• Problem-Solving: Proactively manage supplements, troubleshoot pricing discrepancies, and investigate documentation issues to resolve "bottleneck" claims.

What We’re Looking For

• Software Mastery: Advanced, proven proficiency in Xactimate and Symbility (Cotality). You should be able to create macros, build complex estimates from scratch, and navigate software-specific hurdles.
• Deep Commercial Experience: Extensive experience estimating various roof types. You understand the nuances of commercial systems (flat and steep-slope) and can accurately scope specialty/designer systems.
• Detail-Oriented & Analytical: You possess a sharp eye for detail. You don't just "write" estimates; you audit them against carrier guidelines and project requirements to ensure nothing is missed.
• Motivation & Initiative: You are a self-starter who does not need to be hand-held. You take ownership of your job numbers, follow up on pending items, and communicate clearly with Management, Project Managers, carriers, and team members
• Communication Skills: You are skilled at writing technical arguments for supplements and have the ability to effectively communicate with adjusters, staff, and clients to move projects forward.
• Team First Mentality: Based on the needs of the team/company, additional tasks may be assigned outside of this position description on a case by case basis
• Availability to work outside of Mon-Fri 8-5 during storm seasons, etc as needed due to volume and capacity fluctuations.
