What you can expect from the role: 

Your task as a Functional Consultant is to introduce our ERP standard software IFS Cloud together with our customers from internationally oriented medium to large-sized companies. If you enjoy carrying out exciting projects in a team and your strength lies in solution-oriented cooperation with customers and colleagues, then you have come to the right place.

Specific domain knowledge in one of the following areas: Solution Architect, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, EAM/Service Management

Understanding customer business needs and guiding them in the most effective usage of the core IFS solution and related products.

  • Identifying and bridging the gap between the customer’s business requirements and IFS Products.
  • Conducting customer training sessions and workshops.
  • Leading and owning the solution definition and scope for the IFS Solution.
  • Guiding and assisting the customer with testing and Go Live cut-over strategies.
  • Understanding the customer’s business, industry and local practices and policies.
  • Acting as a trusted advisor in articulating and critically evaluating customer-specific business solutions.
  • Understand the importance of and provide a high degree of customer service.
  • Develop business related knowledge to be able to understand customer requirements and provide solutions.
  • Keeping up to date with regulatory and compliance requirements in the key focus industries.
  • Managing, coaching, and mentoring IFS colleagues.
  • Contributing to the continuous improvement of existing IFS products, processes and methodology.
  • Confident in designing solutions, challenge and advise customers, and deliver on expectation thus ensuring success for both parties.
  • Enthused by the contrast of understanding the business objectives and end-to-end processes, as well as digging down in details to achieve the best possible solution for both the customer and IFS.

What we will look for in your CV:

  • Bachelor or Master’s degree in Business, or (or equivalent job experience or other professional qualifications) 
  • US or Canadian Citizenship or permanent resident
  • Fluent in English
  • Strong communication abilities with good customer facing skills, able to interact effectively at all levels within customer organizations. Communicates clearly and concisely.
  • Experience in working with IFS Cloud in a similar role as a consultant, or as an end customer
  • Industry experience in one or more of the following industries: Manufacturing, Construction and Engineering, Service or Aerospace, and Defense Manufacturing
  • A profound interest in how systems can support business processes with in-depth knowledge of the business processes used by manufacturing companies.
  • Commercial focus, business acumen and a “can-do” attitude.
  • Strong problem solving, analytical skills and strategic thinking.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills including stakeholder management, negotiation and influencing skills.
  • Ability to learn quickly, communicate ideas effectively
  • Utilize flexibility and creativity to present a variety of solutions
  • Self-motivated and willing to go outside of comfort zone to provide the best possible solution for the client.
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently.
  • Good time management, organizational, and documentation skills
  • Bias towards being proactive rather than reactive
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs
  • Must be willing to travel up to 50%

For this role, the anticipated base salary falls within a range of $60,000–$150,000 USD annually, depending on location, experience, and qualifications. Compensation may vary for employees outside of the United States based on local market conditions, currency exchange rates, and regional compensation structures. For highly experienced candidates, total compensation may be adjusted commensurate with skills and experience.
