Job description

Youth Advocate Programs, Inc. (YAP) is a nonprofit organization that provides community-based services to support youth and families involved in child welfare, juvenile justice, and other social service systems. YAP focuses on keeping individuals in their homes and communities by offering advocacy, mentoring, and wraparound support that promotes positive development, stability, and long-term success.

Status: Part-Time Hourly                                  

FLSA Classification: Non-Exempt

Summary of the Position:  eLearning Developer is an integral part of YAP’s Employee and Program Development Department, producing creative, innovative, and effective eLearning courses for a variety of audiences. The individual is equally imaginative, strategic, and technical in nature – collaborating with internal stakeholders, subject matter experts, and teammates alike to convert learning objectives into thoughtful, impactful, and engaging learning curricula.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Instruction Design, Instructional Technology, Curriculum Development, or other related discipline.
  • 3 years of related experience and/or training in eLearning development in a professional setting.
  • Expertise in Articulate 360, especially Storyline, and experience with other eLearning authoring tools is a plus.
  • Must possess an understanding of learning management systems.
  • Be proficient in Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Be proficient in graphic design tools (Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Premier Pro, Canva)
