At Toms Group, we are looking for an ambitious Financial Controller to join Group Finance. This role is suited to someone with strong analytical skills who thrives at the intersection of controlling and accounting and is motivated by creating structure and transparency in a company with high complexity and many stakeholders.

You will become part of Group Finance and work closely with stakeholders across the organization – particularly within Business Finance. In this role, you will have the opportunity to quickly take on responsibility and gain insight into operations, reporting, and the financial decisions that drive the business.

 


About the job

 

As a Financial Controller, you will play a key role in the financial management and reporting of Toms Group. You will work with both traditional controlling tasks, including support for Business Finance, as well as the continuous improvement and optimization of processes and data quality.

 

Your tasks will include, among other things:

  • Drive and ensure parts of the quality of the monthly financial close
  • Prepare analyses and decision-making material for Business Finance and management
  • Follow up on budgets, provisions, and balance sheet items
  • Ensure high quality in accounting and controlling processes
  • Provide sparring and support to Business Partners
  • Perform financial control of the balance sheet
  • Be responsible for year-end closing within your areas of responsibility, including preparation of audit material
  • Contribute to the preparation of the annual report
  • Perform ad hoc analytical tasks across the group, where strong process and data understanding are essential competencies
  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders across Finance and the business

 


About you

 

You do not need to tick every box, but we imagine that you:

 

  • Hold a relevant bachelor’s or master’s degree in economics, finance, or a related field, for example HA, cand.merc. or similar (Cand.merc., Cand.merc.FIR, Cand.merc.FSM, Cand.merc.GMA) or an HD in Accounting or a similar qualification.
  • Works in a structured, analytical, and detail-oriented manner with a strong focus on quality
  • Are proactive and solution-oriented, and motivated by creating value and improving processes
  • Can navigate a dynamic work environment with varied tasks
  • Thrives in an environment where you can optimize processes, and where you are motivated by creating structure, identifying improvement opportunities, and contributing positively in a fast-paced setting with multiple parallel tasks and ongoing change
  • Ideally have a few years of experience from a larger company
  • Has professional proficiency in English
  • Is an experienced user of Excel and PowerPoint – experience with Business Management Systems/ERP is an advantage. At Toms Gruppen, we use SAP.
