Senior Full Stack Developer - LATAM Remote

Workstate is looking for a Senior Full Stack Developer to join our talented team! In this vital role, you will design and develop responsive user interfaces, backend services, APIs, and data-driven applications using modern JavaScript and TypeScript technologies.

You will work across the application stack, building engaging React-based user experiences while developing reliable Node.js services and integrating with PostgreSQL databases. Requirements

The ideal candidate will typically have 5–7 years of professional software development experience, including meaningful experience across both frontend and backend development, and will have demonstrated many of the following skills:

• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and TypeScript/JavaScript, with extensive experience using React
• Strong professional experience developing backend applications and services with Node.js
• Experience designing, querying, and optimizing PostgreSQL databases
• Experience with Redux Toolkit
• Experience with React Query
• Experience developing Node.js applications using Koa or similar frameworks
• Experience designing, developing, and integrating RESTful APIs
• Experience connecting frontend applications with backend services and databases
• Experience with frontend build tools and modern application toolchains
• Strong understanding of responsive design and frontend performance optimization
• Understanding of backend performance, scalability, error handling, and application security
• Familiarity with database design, data modeling, migrations, and transactional workflows
• Familiarity with version control systems such as Git
• Ability to collaborate effectively in an Agile environment and contribute to technical and product discussions
• Experience applying UI/UX principles and working closely with designers to create engaging interfaces
• Ability to work independently across the stack while coordinating effectively with other developers, designers, product stakeholders, and client teams
• B2-level English competency or higher, with the ability to communicate effectively in professional settings, both verbally and in writing

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience designing or consuming gRPC services
• Experience with Apache Thrift
• Experience developing and deploying applications on AWS
• Familiarity with cloud-native architectures, containerized applications, and distributed systems
• Experience with automated testing across frontend, API, and backend application layers
