Job description

Position Description

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is a key member of the senior leadership team, working closely with the CEOs of two operating divisions and shared services leadership. The CFO is responsible for leading the finance function across the organization (which includes multi-location worldwide), providing financial insight, discipline, and partnership to support profitable growth and operational excellence.


This role is hands-on and collaborative, balancing day-to-day financial leadership with the continued development of scalable processes, systems, and people. The CFO will help strengthen financial visibility, decision-making, and controls as the organization grows and evolves.


The CFO will report to the Family Office’s CEO.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Operating Division Partnership

  • Serve as a trusted finance partner to both Operating Division CEOs.
  • Provide clear insight into operating performance, profitability, cash flow, and key business drivers.
  • Support annual budgets, rolling forecasts, and longer-range planning.
  • Develop and maintain KPIs, dashboards, and management reporting.
  • Evaluate financial risks, assumptions, and trade-offs related to strategic and operational decisions.
  • Support pricing, credit, billing, and working capital initiatives.


Shared Services & Financial Operations

  • Lead accounting, FP&A, treasury, tax coordination, and financial systems.
  • Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.
  • Oversee financial audits and credit facilities.
  • Maintain appropriate internal controls and compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Improve consistency, efficiency, and effectiveness across finance processes while remaining practical and business-focused.
  • Partner with shared services leaders to support scalable growth and operational discipline.


Financial Leadership & Execution

  • Provide overall financial leadership, including financial management, reporting, treasury, and tax oversight.
  • Monitor and challenge reported business performance; identify risks and opportunities.
  • Oversee financial analysis, forecasting, and scenario planning.
  • Prepare and present monthly management and board-level financial reports.
  • Support expansion initiatives and new projects from financial evaluation through execution.
  • Assist with acquisitions, integrations, and other strategic initiatives as needed.


Team Leadership & Development

  • Build, mentor, and develop a strong, capable finance team across operating units.
  • Foster a collaborative, service-oriented finance culture.
  • Encourage continuous improvement in processes, tools, and capabilities.
  • Act as a constructive challenger—improving decision quality without slowing the business.


Mandatory Qualifications and Requirements

  • 10–15 years of progressive finance experience, including leadership roles.
  • Experience supporting multi-division or multi-location operating businesses, including international locations.
  • Strong foundation in accounting, financial reporting, and financial analysis.
  • Experience with budgeting, forecasting, cash management, and internal controls.
  • Exposure to M&A, integrations, or major projects is a plus.
  • Experience with financial audits• Experience with financial covenants with credit facilities.
  • Experience with NetSuite and OneStream software packages.
  • CPA preferred; MBA or advanced degree a plus.
  • Aviation or asset-intensive industry experience helpful but not required.
