About the role

We are looking for a skilled Head of Platform Development to lead the strategic development and continuous improvement of our platform. In this role, you will drive the platform roadmap, ensuring scalability, performance, and seamless integrations with internal and external systems. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, optimize platform efficiency, and uphold high-quality standards to enhance user experience. This is a key leadership position where your technical expertise and industry knowledge will directly contribute to shaping the future of our B2B gaming platform

Responsibilities

• Own and define the platform strategy, working closely with stakeholders to develop a comprehensive roadmap that aligns with both short-term and long-term business objectives. Ensure that all platform features and improvements align with company goals.

• Oversee the design, development, maintenance, observability and continuous improvement of the platform, ensuring that it delivers a seamless, high-quality experience for customers.

• Act as the key liaison between Product, Engineering, Commercial, Compliance and Customer Support teams to align the platform’s development with business needs and priorities.

• Monitor the platform’s performance metrics, including uptime, latencies, and user experience, and work to optimize these aspects. Address any technical issues or bottlenecks that arise and ensure platform stability and scalability.

• Ensure that the platform is successfully integrated with clients' systems and other internal and external partners. 

• Ensure that the platform maintains high standards of quality assurance, working with testing teams to verify that new features as well as refactorings/updates meet specifications and are provided at Booming Games’ quality standards.

• Lead ongoing efforts for platform enhancement and innovation, ensuring the platform remains competitive and meets evolving industry standards. 

• Mentor and guide a team of platform-related professionals, including engineers, product owner, and other cross-functional team members. Provide direction and support in the completion of platform projects.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5-7 years of experience working in a platform management, product ownership, or platform operations role within the B2B gaming or iGaming industry. 

• Strong technical background with a clear understanding of platform architecture, software development, and integration management. Familiarity with UNIX systems, networking fundamentals, and distributed systems in B2B gaming platforms is essential.

• Strong business sense with the ability to understand client needs and turn them into actionable platform features. Ability to prioritize and make decisions based on business impact and technical feasibility.

• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to understand platform performance issues and implement effective solutions.

• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to inspire, mentor, and motivate cross-functional teams. Strong communication skills to interact with internal teams and external clients.

• Deep understanding of the iGaming landscape, including key trends, competitive products, and the technical challenges facing the industry.

• Ability to produce clear and concise technical requirements and user documentation.
