Description

LOCATION:  This is a fully remote position; however, candidates must reside in Michigan. Due to the nature of the role, occasional in-office attendance is required for special events and the onboarding of local new hires. To support these responsibilities, candidates must live within a one-hour driving distance of our corporate office in downtown Royal Oak, Michigan. 



POSITION SUMMARY

The Human Resources Coordinator plays a hands-on role in supporting the day-to-day human resources work across MCUL and Navari. This position helps keep key HR processes organized, timely, and team member focused, with primary support in recruitment coordination, onboarding, new team member experience, training and engagement logistics, HRIS updates, performance review coordination, and general HR inbox support. The role requires someone who is detail-oriented, comfortable balancing multiple priorities, and able to provide warm, responsive support to candidates, team members, leaders, and HR team. While this position will assist with broader culture, engagement, and development initiatives, the main focus is on coordinating and executing the processes, communications, documentation, and follow-up that help create a consistent and positive team member experience.


DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Recruitment, Onboarding & New Team Member Experience

  • Coordinate the full-cycle recruitment process, including requisitions, postings, sourcing support, scheduling, screening logistics, interview coordination, and offer preparation. 
  • Coordinate pre-employment processes, including background checks and partner with internal departments to ensure new hires are equipped, informed, and ready for a successful start. 
  • Plan and execute New Hire Orientation and onboarding programs, partnering with leaders to create onboarding plans that ensure a positive candidate-to-team-member experience.
  • Gather feedback from new team members on their onboarding experience and share opportunities for improvement. 
  • Coordinate the exit/offboarding process for voluntary departures, including scheduling exit interviews and capturing feedback for retention insights.

Learning, Development, Engagement & Culture Support

  • Support the coordination and delivery of learning, development, engagement, culture, and training initiatives (scheduling, communications, materials, attendance tracking, and follow-up). 
  • Maintain training records, participation data, and feedback summaries. 
  • Help prepare communications, event materials, and recognition content for engagement and culture programs. 
  • Assist with internal intranet updates and the HR communications calendar for programs, resources, events, and announcements. 
  • Create or coordinate simple visuals, flyers, and materials (e.g., in Canva) to support engagement, culture, recognition, and training. 
  • Coordinate with outside vendors, facilitators, and internal partners to support sessions, events, and programming.

HR Operations & Coordination Support

  • Provide administration and coordination for job descriptions, acknowledgements, and position records within the HRIS and Performance Management systems. 
  • Coordinate annual performance review logistics under the direction of the HR Generalist and HR leadership. 
  • Assist with HR reporting and audits, preparing accurate data and documentation for review. 
  • Respond to team member inquiries, including within the Human Resources Inbox, escalating as appropriate. 
  • Collaborate with the HR team to ensure effective, consistent delivery of HR services across the organization.

  • Maintains confidentiality and exercises discretion when handling sensitive information.
  • Team player with strong follow-through who collaborates effectively and delivers on commitments.

TRAVEL

Position may require travel as needed to attend company events and/or support team initiatives.

This position does not include direct reports.
