LOCATION: Full Remote - FL, IL, KS, MI, OH, PA, TX, UT, WI only


POSITION SUMMARY

The Software Quality Assurance Specialist participates in the day-to-day support of the SQA services. This includes testing activities and the development and application of subject matter expertise in the SaaS applications of HR Performance Solutions. The SQA Specialist ensures both the product’s integrity and that standards are being met. The position troubleshoots systems to ensure reliability, usability, and performance.


DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

· Perform quality assurance efforts on multiple application releases, monitor and document testing activities.

· Design, develop and maintain test cases and strategies for cross-browser testing and multiple user scenarios.

· Satisfy release deliverables, project testing requirements and other quality assurance responsibilities.

· Collaborate with team to understand product changes and QA testing requirements to deal with issues/defects in a timely manner.

· Work within a testing feedback loop with other developers and team members.

· Create written documentation and procedures for application testing and compliance.

· Debug test environment, automate sprints, and develop testing scenarios.

· Test emerging technologies and internal tools to improve SQA testing processes. Create scripts to automate test cases and conduct routing tasks.

· Participate in regular scrum meetings, product team planning sessions, and user story drafting sessions, at the direction of the Product/Project Managers.

· Participate in product releases during non-peak use times of the day by clients.

QUALIFICATIONS

· Strong computer skills with work experience in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).

· 1-3 years of experience as a SQA Specialist or SME on HR Performance Solutions SaaS applications. 

· Functional and performance testing experience for a wide range of technical platforms.

· Experience with a variety of different testing techniques such as UI Testing, Automated Testing, Test Driven Development Strategies and other.

· 2+ years of experience with SQA tools and processes, including Jira.

· A sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on the company's success.

· Strong team and customer oriented interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to work with upset clients to replicate and diagnose software defects.

· Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, and execute work tasks with strong problem solving and analytical skills.

· Assume responsibility for maintaining effective working relations, communication, and coordination with company personnel and with management.

· Complete other duties and special projects as assigned.


TRAVEL

Position may require light travel as needed to support clients and/or attend company events.

The anticipated pay range for this position is $65,000 annually. Actual pay will depend on experience, qualifications, and budget considerations.
