Job Description

Primary Location:

Remote, Montana

Demand Planning Coordinator: Serves as department expert in use of multiple software tools to perform SCP, (Supply Chain Planning), inventory analysis, supply chain metrics and other related reporting. Serves as the primary liaison to the warehouses for Supply Chain, which include the Sales Teams to meet the needs of the organization.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES

Recognizes and reconciles Prevail/Order Stream forecast exceptions and tunes forecasts as needed.

Responsible for key supply chain metrics including inventory availability, and total OOS. Supports major business initiatives including territory growth, changes, and product line extensions.

Represents the SCP team to other departments for collaboration and support. Manages statistical, promotional, and total forecasts to drive retail in stock conditions and optimize inventory levels.

Determines causal factors impacting forecasts and actuals including weather, moving seasons, and other environmental impacts to the business.

Tracks actuals against forecast & reviews forecast accuracy (base and promo) and tunes forecast as needed. Optimizes the promotional lift as well as the instruments that continue product line growth.

Reviews demand history for outliers and develop recommendations and manage Prevail/Order Stream settings related to outliers.

Manages new demand forecasting units and new product introduction processes Maintains key metrics against goals for forecast accuracy and performance reports.

Key points of contact, including operations, marketing IT and sales for production, deployment, and product sourcing issues. Collaborates with other departments as needed to meet business objectives.

Monitors full goods inventories to meet target level and ensure adequate supply. Works with SCP team to improve OOS results.

Supports key business initiatives including territory changes, new products, and product line launches.

   Other duties may be assigned by the immediate supervisor or other supervisor at any time.

COORDINATOR RESPONSIBILITIES

Coordinates between Kam’s, Location’s, and Production, accurate forecast’s and insures adequate on floor inventory based on company goals, and targeted days on hand. Conducts scheduled meetings monthly with Kam’s, Location’s, and Production, to improve forecast accuracy.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

One-year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Need to have 6 months experience and/or training related to inventory control, forecasting and ordering products.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.  Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.  Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format.  Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Proficiency in using Personal Computer word processing and spreadsheet software application programs and custom mainframe software programs.
