Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and compassionate Bilingual Legal Case Assistant to support our immigration legal team. This role requires excellent communication skills in both English and Spanish, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
The ideal candidate is professional, empathetic, and committed to providing outstanding support to both clients and attorneys.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and their family members.
  • Interview clients to gather information, documentation, and supporting evidence for their legal cases.
  • Coordinate and schedule attorney calls with detention centers.
  • Provide Spanish-English interpretation during attorney-client meetings and phone calls.
  • Translate legal documents and client communications between English and Spanish.
  • Prepare, organize, and merge legal documents for court submissions.
  • Maintain accurate client records and case files.
  • Communicate regularly with attorneys and other team members regarding case progress.
  • Ensure all work is completed accurately and within required deadlines.

Qualifications

  • Fluent in both English and Spanish (written and spoken).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks.
  • Strong computer skills and ability to quickly learn new software.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team.

Preferred Experience

  • Previous experience in a law firm, legal support, immigration, or case management role is preferred.
  • Experience translating legal documents and interpreting conversations between English and Spanish is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with legal documentation and court filing processes is a plus.
