Spreetail is looking for a Software Engineer II to join our team. As a Software Engineer II, you will work independently on moderately complex tasks across backend and data domains. You’ll build, optimize, and maintain services and pipelines that power our next-gen advertising platform.   • Collaborate Effectively: Work closely with engineers, PMs, and stakeholders to turn requirements into reliable features. Participate actively in code reviews and team planning.

  • What experiences will help you in this role:
  • 2-5 years of backend development: Proficiency in Python; experience with FastAPI or similar frameworks.
  • Modern Data Stack: Experience with DBT, Snowflake, S3, or AWS Glue. You know how to modify and optimize data transformations.
  • Distributed Systems: Practical experience with Kafka, Redis, PostgreSQL – especially in scalable, production contexts.
  • Performance Tuning: Ability to optimize services and queries for speed and reliability.
  • API Development: Experience building performant APIs to serve large datasets.

    Desktop/Laptop system requirements:
    - 4th generation or higher, at least Intel i3 or equivalent processor;
    - at least 4GB RAM;
    - Windows 10 and above or MAC OSX operating system 
    - You are required to provide your own dual monitors
    A strong and stable internet connection (A DSL, cable or fiber wired internet service with 10 Mbps plan or higher for primary connection)
    PC Headset
    A high-definition (HD) external or integrated webcam with at least 720p resolution.
