EI Solutions Architect and Team Leader, Enterprise Informatics

Based out of: Australia

Job Family Summary:

The Solutions Architect Team Leader will lead the centralized solution architect team focusing on Philips' Enterprise Informatics (EI) Portfolio, that includes cardiology, radiology and pathology information systems. Philips' Enterprise Informatics portfolio and the integration layers that connect them into a customer's broader clinical and IT environment, are technically deep, clinically regulated, and often mission-critical to hospital operations. This role leads the team responsible for architecting that portfolio into real customer environments, from presales through to handover.

The successful candidate will carry their own architecture caseload alongside the rest of the team, including the most complex or strategically important opportunities while also building the capability, standards, and judgement of the wider team. Hands-on design work and people leadership are both core parts of this role

This person will report directly to EI Business Operations Leader who is based in Perth.

You are responsible for:

  • Participates in customer requirements analysis, actively analyzes client needs to inform the development of solutions aligned with customer expectations and business objectives, and conducts thorough assessments of existing infrastructure to recommend appropriate, scalable, reliable, and secure solutions architecture.
  • While actively contributing to Solution Architect responsibilities, you will also lead the team in goal setting, performance management, talent development, process standardization, and fostering team cohesion, adhering to Philips' leadership principles.
  • Contributes to solution architecture efforts, collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop innovative solutions that meet project requirements and align with organizational objectives and industry best practices, working under limited supervision.
  • Creates standardized architecture templates, ensures consistency and clarity in pre-sales documentation, and facilitates efficient communication of scope, objectives, deliverables, and timelines to stakeholders.
  • Identifies and proposes solutions for routine issues, leverages expertise and collaboration with senior leaders to ensure effective problem resolution, and fosters a culture of continuous improvement and proactive problem-solving within the organization.
  • Stays current on product, solutions, services, IT, and industry trends, offers clients best-in-class solutions, ethically monitors competitor product offerings, and actively engages as a member of the Community of Practice for solution architecture.
  • Conducts comprehensive surveys of the competitive healthcare market landscape to gather insights into data-driven solutions, trends, and potential architectural use cases.
  • Develops tailored solutions by collaborating with domain experts that align with customer requirements and budgetary constraints, ensuring the delivery of tailored and cost-effective solutions that meet client expectations and drive business value.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience:

  • Minimum 4 years’ experience in Solution or Technical Architecture, preferably with Healthcare experience in Radiology, Cardiology or Pathology, or other clinical systems.
  • Bachelors Degree in Healthcare or IT
  • Demonstrated experience in building and maintaining strong external (and internal) relationships with stakeholders, including Senior Management
  • Experience in comprehensive technical blueprints encompassing hardware and software
  • Working knowledge of the IT infrastructure that Healthcare Informatics solutions run on, including server / storage architecture, virtualisation, networking, and security / compliance requirements for clinical systems.
  • Strong leadership acumen and high-level communicator
  • Excellent organizational skills, written and oral presentation skills with the ability to present to any audience, including Clinical, Technical and Executive-level stakeholders.
  • Driven to continually learn and improve with a ‘can do’ approach
  • An enthusiastic, high-energy approach to the delivery of first-class Solutions for our Customers – fostering positive customer relations and satisfaction.
