Our Team: How We Enrich Everyday Life
Behind every live show, breaking news update, competition winner and memorable radio moment is a team of engineers ensuring everything runs seamlessly.
You'll join Bauer Media Audio's Broadcast Engineering team at The Lantern in London, the operational hub supporting some of the UK's most recognised radio brands, including Absolute Radio, Kiss, Magic Radio, Greatest Hits Radio and Hits Radio.
From this flagship site, we support 17 radio studios, a live performance studio and dedicated video facilities, alongside services that connect to locations across the UK and Ireland.
This is a team that sits at the intersection of broadcasting, technology and content creation. You'll work alongside engineers, presenters, producers, journalists, content teams and video specialists, helping to deliver exceptional experiences for millions of listeners every week.
As Bauer continues to centralise more of its broadcast infrastructure into London, this team's influence and visibility continue to grow. That means more opportunities to work on critical systems, exciting projects and technology that sits at the heart of live broadcasting.
The Difference You Will Make
This is no longer a traditional broadcast engineering role.
Today's broadcast environments are increasingly powered by software, networking and IP-based technologies. While you'll still work with studios, microphones, mixing systems and audio infrastructure, you'll also spend time troubleshooting software platforms, supporting Audio-over-IP environments, maintaining playout systems and helping shape the future of Bauer's broadcast technology landscape.
You'll be a key part of the team responsible for keeping stations on air, resolving issues before audiences notice them and providing technical expertise to the people creating our content every day.
One day you could be supporting a live studio session with a major artist. The next, you might be troubleshooting a critical playout issue, supporting a festival broadcast, improving studio resilience or working with colleagues across the UK to deliver seamless services across multiple locations.
If you enjoy variety, problem-solving and working in an environment where your contribution genuinely matters, this role offers a unique opportunity to make an impact.

Why Join Bauer Media Audio?
One of the most exciting aspects of the role is the access it provides to the wider world of broadcasting. From supporting live artist performances and special events to helping power some of the UK's most listened-to radio stations, you'll have the opportunity to work on projects that audiences genuinely experience every day.
Working Pattern & Location
This role is based at The Lantern, London (Euston).
The team currently operates a flexible working arrangement combining office and remote working, alongside an early/late shift rota. As more operational activity continues to centralise in London, there will be an increasing need for regular on-site presence.
An on-call rota forms part of the role and is paid separately as overtime. This is currently approximately one week in every four to five weeks, with an additional allowance paid for participation.
