Job Description

The Health Systems District Leader Czechia acts as the senior country leader for Philips Health Systems in Czechia, with accountability for the country agenda and governance, business performance and commercial growth, customer impact, people leadership, and License to Operate. 

As the senior representative for Health Systems in the market, the role drives sustainable growth while ensuring alignment with regulatory, compliance, quality, localization, operational, and reputational requirements. The role partners closely with customers, government stakeholders, strategic partners, and regional leadership teams to advance business objectives and strengthen Philips’s position within the Czechia healthcare ecosystem. In addition to leading commercial strategy and execution, the Health Systems District Leader drives cross-functional alignment across key business functions to ensure the business operates sustainably, competitively, and responsibly in the market. 


Your role:

  • Act as the senior Health Systems country leader for Czechia, representing Philips with key customers, government entities, strategic partners, and senior internal stakeholders. 

  • Own the country Health Systems agenda, ensuring alignment between global business priorities, regional strategy, and local market execution. Driving country-level business performance and governance for Health Systems in Czechia, including revenue, order intake, profitability, resource allocation, risk management, License to Operate, and contribution to P&L delivery. 

  • Provide CEO-like leadership for the Health Systems business in Czechia, driving enterprise-level decision-making across commercial performance, customer strategy, operational execution, talent, governance, and risk management. 

  • Lead sales and commercial partnerships across Czechia, driving revenue growth, market expansion, and long-term customer relationships across a diverse product portfolio. Demonstrating depth and breadth of knowledge of the Czechia, business strategies, and the organization's goals. 

  • Develop and execute country sales and distribution strategies, including sales forecasts, Annual Operating Plans, and growth initiatives to achieve business objectives and sustainable market expansion. 

  • Monitor market dynamics, competitor activity, and customer trends to adapt commercial strategies, strengthen competitive positioning, and capitalize on emerging opportunities. 

  • Build and maintain executive-level relationships with customers, government stakeholders, healthcare leaders, and strategic partners.  

  • Lead cross-functional alignment across Sales, Services, Solutions, Finance, Legal, Compliance, Quality & Regulatory, Supply Chain, HR, and other enabling functions to ensure seamless execution of the country business plan. 

  • Own and drive License to Operate priorities for Philips Health Systems in Czechia, ensuring the business operates in line with applicable regulatory, legal, compliance, quality, tax, labour, localization, and commercial requirements. 

  • Act as the senior country escalation point for License to Operate matters, partnering with the relevant functions to identify, mitigate, and resolve risks that could impact business continuity or Philips’ reputation. 

  • Leads and develops high-performing sales teams through effective talent management, succession planning, coaching, and performance development. 

  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, and customer focus, ensuring alignment with Philips’ values and long-term strategic objectives. 

  • Drive operational excellence and continuous improvement initiatives through LEAN methodologies and process optimization across Market-to-Order activities.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience:

  • Minimum 11 years of experience with a Bachelor’s degree, or minimum 9 years with a Master’s degree, in Sales Strategy, Business Development, or a related field.

  • Strong commercial and sales acumen, including expertise in sales forecasting, market analysis, KPI management, and data-driven decision-making.

  • Demonstrated industry expertise with exposure to Healthcare Systems, along with extensive knowledge of the Czechia market and regional business environment.

  • Proven leadership capabilities with the ability to build, develop, and lead high-performing teams within complex matrix organizations.

  • Experience engaging and influencing executive-level stakeholders, including government entities, healthcare leaders, and strategic partners.

  • Demonstrated ability to navigate complex stakeholder environments, building strong relationships and driving alignment across senior leadership teams and regional stakeholders.

  • Experience leading and managing multi-channel commercial models across complex market environments.

  • Experience in strategic account management and solutions leadership, with strong customer engagement capabilities and the ability to build trusted customer relationships.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex, cross-functional organizations, aligning commercial, operational, regulatory, and people priorities to achieve business objectives.

  • Understanding of regulatory, compliance, quality, localization, and governance requirements within highly regulated healthcare environments.

  • Experience leading organizational and operational transformation initiatives, including localization strategies and the implementation of scalable structures within regional markets.

  • Proven track record of driving revenue growth and operational excellence through budget management, resource optimization, process improvement, and performance management.

  • Solid background in project and operational management, including experience with ERP systems and business process optimization.


Compensation & benefits


Doing meaningful work should come with fair, transparent rewards. The base salary range for this role is CZK 1,809,000.00 - CZK 2,997,000.00. We determine pay within the range using objective factors, like the skills the role requires, your relevant experience and the responsibility you'll have in this role, alongside internal equity and local market considerations.
This role is eligible to 30% sales incentive linked to your KPI’s. We’ll share the full approach with you during the interview process, so you can make a clear, informed decision.
