Job description

Contract Remote Role | Claims Process Specialist
Duration: 9 months contract with possible extension
Pay Range: $18 -20.83/hour on w2

Description:
  • Responsible for processing claims to customer funds received from third parties. Claims include garnishments, levies, liens and information subpoenas received from creditors and taxing authorities. Also responsible for processing 1099-K corrections for *** customers
Job duties include:
  • Examine garnishments, levies, liens and information subpoenas to ensure accuracy, completeness and legal sufficiency.
  • Review account files to determine whether any customer accounts on Square’s platform are implicated.
  • Restrain and release funds held in accounts.
  • Prepare response documents and submit responses to third parties according to established timelines and legal requirements.
  • Communicate with customers, creditors, taxing authorities, attorneys and officers of the court.
  • Maintain tracking system and provide details supporting actions taken in the event of escalations.
  • Assist customers with making 1099-K tax form corrections
  • 100% Remote
