Overview:

Sentara Health Plan is currently seeking an experienced Manager, Pharmacy Benefits-Remote to join their team! The ideal candidate will be able to motivate a remote team, have strong analytical skills, embrace/lead the charge for change and have a strong background in retail pharmacy.

The Manager of Pharmacy Benefits is responsible for monitoring the implementation and testing of the pharmacy benefit designs, pharmacy networks, formularies and pricing suites. In addition, the position is responsible for providing consultation on standard benefits designs and assisting with various projects that involve pharmacy products or process improvements.

The Manager possess a high degree of pharmacy benefit operations knowledge as it relates to customer operations in claims, system administration, expansion business and member enrollment. The Manager of Pharmacy Benefits will be accountable for leading pharmacy benefit configuration for all products. Acts as a liaison between internal pharmacy teams and the PBM.

The Manager will work closely with Pharmacy Compliance and Benefits Specialists to keep them motivated and devise continuous ways to meet the departmental goals.

Education

  • Bachelor's level degree required

Experience
